Within the last week, I recieved calls from the following numbers:

262-633-6970
Caller ID shows as Unavailable

425-256-3786
Caller ID shows Allied Interste

I've done a little forum searching, but not finding the information needed.
Can someone please provide a name/address for both numbers?? Once I have that information, letters WILL be sent CM-RRR along with the No calls accepted terms.

Just recieved latest green card from letter sent. Now, I'm planning on contacting the CRA's, disputing this particular account information. It has NOT been validated since letter sent.

Anyway......So many things to do, and not enough time to get them done!
Help/information appreciated.
Thanks,

It seems that you are getting calls from two debt collectors and creditors are allowed to contact the consumers for informing them about their debt. They are restricted from harassing the consumers for recovering the said debt. Check this thread below to know the violations done by Allied Interstate3.

Credit Management Control of Racine
Street Address (Racine, WI Office)
2707 Rapids Drive Racine, WI 53404

I am not too sure if allied interstate has any office in Washington. You can use this address to contact them:

Allied Interstate, Inc. , 55 North Arizona Place, Ste. 505 Chandler AZ 85225- , (480) 722-7810

Send a debt validation letter to both the addresses and force them to give you the details of your accounts. Once they receive your letter, the federal rule will be applicable on them before attempting any collections further.

It appears unless they get on the ball, their Washington license lapses in a few days. I have noticed also that some collections agencies which out source to other countries (Riscuity being one) call over VOIP lines, which will display on caller ID as coming from within the United States somewhere.

Hi! hoping I can add on to this thread with a number that was just given to me by Dell financial. It appears that three of the four accounts that I have been pulling my hair out over, have been sold, and they are still holding the one account. They told me to call 'their' collection agency at 631-470-9800. Can anyone pull up a name to this collection agency? thanks, shirley

thanks David!!! They're the ones that call me every day, but from a different number. Thats crazy that Dell says they're the collection agency that is holding that account when the last time I heard anything about this account, it was ENCORE that had it. Now they're saying its Oxford. Oxford has two accounts and Encore has the other two. (four accounts total) Encore WAS holding this account. I asked for validation under Encore. Now I don't know what to do? ask for validation again since they're calling me every day----???????

Hi Patrick. I found the information you need as far as their mailing address. Have they only been calling you? or have you received anything in the mail? What you will need to do is send them a validation letter, so they can validate the debt that they have been calling your home about. If you don't want them to call your home, you can also add in into the validation telling them NOT to call your home or place of work. That you accept written correspondence only. so that any future correspondence from them will be through USPS only. hope this helps and is what you're looking for. :D

Oh yeah, Patrick, I forgot to tell you---these guys don't play well with others, from everything I have read and understand. So make sure you cover yourself. Also, when you mail that validation letter, make sure you send it certified return receipt so that you have your proof, if needed later down the road. shirley

I've also got AI at the following address:

allied interstate, Inc
512 Bell Street
Edmonds, WA. 98020-3147

I sent my letter to this address and have NOT had phone calls since. Also have NOT had written contact from them either. So, the letter has done me some good.
It should also keep them from bothering you! Although, it also means they won't stop bothering you.

Hello, I am in need of Help on how to get this JACk A"S to stop calling me.
background/history of whats going on...

1. I got a $126.00 debt i have been making monthly payments on since november by check i am on fix SS income so i only get paid by month and what i can afford isnt much but i do pay each month.

2. everyday except sundays they call me at least 2 times day up to 5 times from 6am to 10pm Central time.

3. several times after i tell them i am making payment DO NOT CALL only send postal mail they tell me i have no rights as phones go they can call anytime and to be cocky they hang up and then wait 3 minutes and call right back the same person or they try and send what sounds to be a fax over the phone which i have repeatedly told them i have no fax (i used to work at a desk so iknow what faxes sound like).

4. I have written and said everytime on calling DO NOT CALL i am obvously getting their mail because i make my monthly payments.
which on the phone half say they get it the other half say i havent they want it all now or next month i get a court letter every month i dont i just get the bill stating how much i owe.

5. a guy named LARRY called about a week ago my husband answered the phone after saying he was my husband and asked who they were company wise/name so on..and all LARRY wouldnt say WHAT company he was with /why he was calling / o r rewturn number only his name "LARRY".
AND after 2 times of my husband asking him (the phoen was on speaker at this time) ORDERED MY husband rudely to put me on now and he said he knew my husband was LIAR if he didnt place me on the phone he would QUOTE "call back when he wasnt home so he could talk to me. you aint there 24/7 " my husband ten hung up i called *69 to find out who it was. this same place ALLIED int*

6. I am tired of this BS Fact is if it keeps up i am not gonna pay the rest of their damn bill for all this hassel i mean i am getting harassed as it is FROM PAYING! why not say up it and pay something else off.
the other place i owe BMG are nice they only call once a week tops and are greatful for the payments i make to them.

anyhow IS THERE A WAY TO MAKE THEM STOP CALLING???

I mean it isnt like i ignored the debt after letter 1 I sent it payments which i CAN PROVE i made.

any help would be greatly appreciated

How can you say that these people are calling for this account only? You are paying this loan back, then why the lender would place it for collection? Have you talked to your lender about this?

The collectors have ever said you which account they are trying to collect? If they do not say the name of the original creditor, do not identify themselves, then they are not a legitimate company.

File complaint with FTC, BBB and local AG's office. Keep copies of your Do Not Call letters. It will give you much support.

Demand his full "real" name. Aliases are illegal. Remind him that he can be personally held responsible for the actions of Allied. Did you send them a cease communications letter via certified return reciept? This would be your proof, for many collectors would pretend not to have recieved your letter.

Call them up and mention the issue. Tell them that you sent a cease comm. letter but yet they still call, and in doing so are breaking the law. Also, casually mention that you are recording the conversation. They'll probably show a different attitude.

Thanks so much for the help, Monday I called a old high school friend of mine who is a almost lawyer ( he has 4 more month before his degree),

That way it didnt cost me :D he is paying backa favors i used ot do for him lol.

I told him this issue and said i did not want to sue unless the continued and did i have case "IF" it did.

Then showed him my caller ID box for the last week i have had it in service. only once was it 5 times but it did showed repeated 2-3 per day average callings. and 4 of those calling i had recorded.

he called the main company and told them of the matter and told of proof i had such as caller id, recordings, witnesses in room when convo where going on speaker phone, and the returned cashed checks which had written on them "do not call my phone # and my phone ### -###-#### only postal mail responces" in the memo section.

(BTW I am not filing suit unless they call again. )

But it seems to have gotten thru this time. so far no calls thanksfully.

I did however report them to the FTC.

Don't get me wrong i understand calling and all.
My case with BMG for $55-something their collections agency (i dont recall off hand their name) calls about 1-2 times a week. that is totally fine by me that isnt everyday 2 or more calls "A DAY".

That's their job however what these jerks (Allied) for Directv was doing is a whole other story.

Those are the only 2 past due accounts i have.
and i am slowly paying both back.

Thanks for both of yours help.
I really appreciate it.

allied interstate is a collection agency, though the forum members have raised question if they are legitimate or not. You should be careful while dealing with them. Always ask for validation before paying your money. And never disclose your personal information without knowing who you are talking to.

The same culprits have been calling just like everyone has said 3 to 4 times daily. My problem was with directv, they charged me a cancellation fee of 117.00 and the only reason I cancelled was that they couldn't get my local channels to come in.
The equipment was still in the boxes so they said that they would take the cancellation fee off but apparently never did because now I have the collection stalkers calling me and telling me that they won't stop. What a pain!
I told them that I was disputing it and to give me a few days of peice but they refused.
I will definately mail them a letter!!

I recieved a phone call today from a "Allied Interste" (according to my Caller ID), as well. I wasn't home and the person started to leave a message, but all she said was 'Hello' and realized no one was there and hung up.

After doing research and much THANKS to this board, I found out it is allied interstate.

The number from my Caller ID was: 206-415-8416. I am not in any form of debt. I don't have any outstanding bills, don't even own any credit cards. I knew there was no way at all, this was for me. Also, I've only had this particular phone number for 4 months and it's unlisted, but people have still been calling for the previous owner, so I had a feeling it was probably for her.

I called the number this afternoon, after reading this board and said that someone from that number called me, but their message was cut off and so I don't know what the call was pertaining to. The woman (who was actually polite - I was expecting the worst, after reading everything on here) asked me to verify the phone number they called. She then looked on her computer and said they were looking for a Mary Jo. It was the previous owner. I asked if the woman's last name was ***** and she said "Yes". I explained to her that she no longer uses this phone number and that I've been getting calls for her all the time, that I've only had this number for a few months and that I don't no who she is at all. The woman then asked me to verify the number they called once again, which I did and she said "Thank you. I will take note of this in the computer". I said "Thank you, I appreciate it very much", she said "You're welcome" and we hung up.

Is there anything more I should do or should I wait and see if they call back again? And if they do, what should I do, since I've already called them and explained I am not who they're looking for?

I wrote down the date and time that I called yesterday, but unfortunately was unable to catch her name. She spoke with an accent and was somewhat difficult to understand.

I haven't receieved any phone calls today, as of yet; so hopefully that means the mixup has been resolved. But as we all know from this company, silence doesn't necessarily mean anything. So I'll just have to wait and see what happens.

I called 212-798-9291 because it showed up on my Caller ID, too, and the recording I got says that this is a "renewal" line for register.com. I have some sites registered through them and I don't owe them any money (as far as I know). I didn't talk to them, but I suspect they just want me to renew a couple of URL's I've decided to cancel.

I recieved today a call from the # 360-362-5441 and the caller-Id showed Allied Interste. They left a message on the voice-mail, to call a 1-800 number back and it is importand. They didn't say for whom the phone call was or anything else. We don't owe anything (our bills are paid always on time). What should I do?

The CA must send you a debt validation letter in writing. You must get the details within 5 business days as per the federal laws. I highly doubt if AI will follow the laws because there are many online complaints against them. If you don't get anything in writing from them, send a debt validation letter as well as a cease and desist letter to cover your legal side. Once the letter is received by the CA, they must not contact you until the details have been given to you in writing.

I have been getting calls from this so called Allied Interste phone #253-218-3448. For according to them a Debt back in 1987. This makes about 20 years ago! Did not tell me what company it originated. Its not on my credit report. It was under my first married name. But all in all is there not a "Statue of Limitation" to collecting Debts? Who's really pocketing this money!! Would greatly appreciate any information>

Luz, allied interstate has purchased some old junk debts and they got your info. Your debt is way out of the SOL period and they cannot report anything in your credit file now. This debt is out of the reporting time as per the FCRA laws. If you make a payment now, the SOL will be renewed and will be held liable to pay it in full. Chances of reporting in your credit file will also become higher. At this stage, your best move is to get the debt validated by Allied Interstate in writing. Once they send you the info, send a dispute letter notifying the expiry of SOL. Your letter sent through certified mail with return receipt requested will be an important proof about your actions taken to resolve the matter. Keep copies of your letters to prove your part if a legal case is filed.

I too have same problem. I just called them back and was told they would remove my number within 24 hours. The first call was very rude and hung up on me, and when I called them back I let them know I did not appreciate it.

Good luck with getting rid of them.

Well, I just got my new cell phone and am getting calls from these people. The second one came in today while I was working. Before they called me at 6 a.m. I havent taken the call because I dont know anyone from a 212 area code. They havent left a message, and I have no idea what this is about. I dont owe any debt, and am thinking that this call is from the previous person who had the number.

They just started calling me last week. They've been calling about 8:20 AM every day or so. I actually answered the phone twice, but there was nobody there. That means it's one of those automated dialers, so I let the answering machine take the next call. They didn't leave a message.

I intend to ignore them.
