fax machines?

anyways, I noticed alot of the collection agencies and creditors have fax numbers. I was thinking of looking at a fax machine at walmart, they have one on sale for a really good price. But first wanted to check to see who all here has one and how often do you put it to use in your debt management journeys? Do you have one but NEVER use it for correspondence with creditors/CAs, or you do have one and you use the heck out of it? Please let me know! thanks shirley

I have a Lexmark that scans, prints, copies and faxes. I use it everytime I send a cease and desist and a debt validation letter, then I also send the letters certified mail with return receipt. That way if they ignore the fax, they can't ignore a certified letter with their signature on the receipt.

It might be the same one, it scans, copies, prints and faxes. I already have a lexmark that scans, copies and prints, you just can't do faxes. Does it do pretty good on ink? thanks so much!! shirley

Excellent on ink. Mine is a Lexmark X75. I think it is a postitive plus. That way you cover your basis tiwce. You can also buy a fax program called fax tools that faxes through your modem and you can fax all documents through Microsoft Word, Excel etc.

I was thinking of getting an all-in-one type of printer again, but I don't have a house phone, I turned it off to save money (I just go with my cell phone for everything) so I guess that wouldn't do me any good now :lol: I use the one at work now! :)

Shirley, I just have a cheap Brother fax machine from Walmart..It cost around $80.00. They're nice to have, because you can print the confirmation that it made it to them, so if they try to say they didn't get the fax, you can say, "Yes you did." The ribbon rolls are around $25, but I don't receive many faxes, just mainly use it to send.
