Has anyone dealt with Quik Payday? I just got a collection letter from them today. I owe them $600. I spoke to them earlier and told them I was with a debt consolidation program. Then they called again and asked which one then I get the collection letter today - is this a scare tactic for these payday loam companies - if so I am scared. I am going with T&C for debt consolidation of my payday loans and Quick Payday is on my creditor list. Should I let T&C handle Quick Payday? I also got a call from a credit card (BANK ONE formally Bank of Marin)that I have and told them I am with a debt consolidation program. The person said they don't deal with them when I told her to call T&C then she asked how much are they paying (I guess T&C to them)I told her I don't know. I guess I need to call T&C Monday morning and talk to them. Everytime I call I have to ask them to fax a letter to my creditors even though they mailed them out. Most of the creditors want it faxed to them - maybe to exepidite procedures?

I have dealt with Quik Payday and they will work with T &C. They did in my case. I would contact T & C on Monday and maybe even fax them the letter from Quik Payday. You may want to fax and mail Quik Payday a letter stating that you can no longer accept any type of phone calls from them. All correspondence should be handled through T &C. I know some other people are also dealing with them right now too. They sent me an e-mail in late February stating my loan was considered paid in full. I received another e-mail a couple of days ago stating I had two accounts with them. When I called them, the guy was pleasant enough but basically gave me the run around. It really didn't make sense to me so I am following up with a complaint with my state's consumer protection office. I would also suggest to see if they are licensed to loan money in your state. Some people have had good luck dealing with them, others have not. As Stanley suggested, do a search in the forums for more information.

Thanks guys. I just pmd you Mischele. I am going to call T&C Monday. Its just the waiting time at least I can do my work on the computer at work. I just wish we had one counselor to deal with though all of the women I talked to at T & C are very nice. WHen I asked them to fax the letter to my creditors they say they will and I pray to heaven they do. I never had problems with Quick Payday bud since I have stopped payment on them and not paying them like I had in the past - this is all new to me. I have never ever gotten a collection letter or threatened to go to collection agency. SO I am scared of these people.

There is no reason to be scared of this people. Trust me on this because you are trying to do the right thing. Keep all your correspondence and phone calls with Quik Payday documented. You might need these for future reference. They have been in lots of legal trouble lately. They are the ones who should be scared. Believe me, they are not operating fully within state laws. I think they are trying to but it hasn't happened completely yet. I know these things take time but we don't deserve to be harassed by these people. If I gave you my e-mail address, could you e-mail me a copy of the letter that you received?
