If you settle, more often than not they will NOT report as paid

Let me add some points here. It seems you are afraid of paying high monthly installments. If you register with this site, the counselor first analyses your income and expenditure. Your total debt amount is also counted. Then the counselor works out a payment plan that is easily affordable by you. So it will not be tough for you to stick with it.

Can not decide what to do
I am looking for the best option. My husband became ill this past year and has become totally disabled. I am having a problem trying to get caught up and stay ahead of bills. I am probably 13,000.00 in credit card debt and have lost my husband income. I need to know that best way to take care of these and stop the phone calls. People just do not understand when you have a problem. I want to pay but just can not pay everyone ervery month.

You would want to speak with a counselor who will give you the plus/minus of each choice and is honest about all of your options, not just trying to push you into a consolidation plan or a settlement plan.
