Welcome to the forums Shannon. This is a place where we discuss debt issues not a loan company. Go to www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending. If you have more questions please ask. Best Wishes KYSIDE38

I woke up this moring found that my bank account was overdrawn by $468.00 and $60 debits were all over place by Magnum. My back has declared this Fraud and I had to pay to fill out paperwork to try to get my money back - plus open a new account.

This company is fraudulent. I never applied for alone and yet they deposited $200.00 into my account and they said that I authorized it, which I never did. They deposited in an account that I never use, so I never even knew that the money was there, until my bank sent an overdraft notice to me. I had $2.82 in my account and they added theirs. I never used it, so they took the money out + $40. The debt collector called me at work to harras me and I sent them my bank statement, showing they took the money out. She was suprised. She was also suprised that this company goes by 2 different names. I have contacted the better business bureau and they have givenme others to call. We need to stop this fraudulent activity. The lady that gave me their number told me that she gets calls all the time about the fraud that happens with that company and she told me that is how they get others. They'll put money into your account, take out and make money off of the interest. It is a scam. If it were a legit business, there would be a number that you could call and they would have a website

Natalie Welcome to the forums. WV is suing this company also. They are in the 14 that is being sued now. File complaints with your state Attorney Generals consumer division office/. These people need to be shut down. The more complaints the better. Kyside38

Welcome to the forums jadesmom, First go to www.paydayloaninfo.org and look up your state laws on payday lending. Pay back the principal and interest only. These people will bleed you dry if you let them. They are being sued by the state of WV. They gave loans illegally here. Payday lending is prohibited in my state. KYSIDE38

Today I had someone contact me from Magnum Z LLC his name was Anthony, I guess because I finally got a clue and told my bank to not allow any transfers from this company which they have not. Now LLC or whatever their stupid name is tried to get another 90.00 out of my checking account. I needed a payday loan but did take one out with Debt Dr. which they say they use several different names. Anyway's I told him where he could take his call and also said to go ahead and try to file a complaint or make a threat to me because once your bank has your authorization they will not hold you responsible should your account go in the negative due to this company trying to transfer funds. They are the biggest scam online. I can't believe they took me for 635.00 short end of it I am pissed but leason learned. I know they can't do anything except hang up and attempt to call another person. I said go ahead an do what you need to do to get your money but it won't be from my checking account anymore. I hope for the best for you. :)
The bottom is they can't really do anything. You can actually sue them for 3 times the amount they have taken from you. Go to BBB and type in payday loan companys which will provide you with the laws of your state and what your legal choices are.

Do you have a loan with Debt Doctor? In case you need their phone number, its 888-276-4189 / 888-756-2607

It looks like that you haven't authorized the loan company for any debit in your account. If this is the case, ask your bank to dispute the charges and help you in getting the money back. Block their company code in case they try for another debit in the future.

I applied for a payday advance loan and received several emails with the exact same loan documents except they had different company names one of which was Magnum Z LLC. Some named Samantha called me and explained the terms of the loan and she said that you have to contact them 3 business days before your loan is due if you want to pay down or pay off your loan in full. you have to request in writng via fax at 1-866-813-6029. I received $150 in my account the next morning and am satisfied with the terms. I saved the loan documents on my computer. Hope this helps somebody.

i don't know where this company got my information, but i called 1-888-276-4189 ext. 100 and talked to some guy named dennis who told me that his company had talked to me and a co-worker of a place i have never worked before they gave me a loan. i told him that no one had ever talked to me about this and i never authorized any loan. i then went to the police and filed a report. when they called him he told them he could not give them any information without my consent. he then called me the next day and told me that in fact no one had ever made contact with me therefor i do not owe any money back and the girl who handled my account had been let go.

Dennis is the one that told me that he could not authorize a refund of what I had paid and would have to contact the home office in the West Indies, which I still have not gotten a response back from. He told me that basically they were "the middle man". He did mark my loan PIF, but boy this was an expensive lessont. I am going to keep trying to get a refund, since it would be about $1000.

Christy ~ glad to hear you got things straightened out. Could almost guarantee you that the person that "handled" your account was not let go.

Does anyone happen to know the website that we apparently went to, to fill out this loan application? I talked to Dennis and he said I applied for a loan, I have applied for loans but when got to the finance charges to review I never submitted the application. This is driving me nuts. I cant afford to pay what they are taking out monthly, expecially for something that I did not authorize, I would like to see my authorization, and the people like Dennis and Katy are no help, dont bother calling them!

Whenever you have a deposit or debit from your acct that you did not authorize, you should contact your financial institution immediately. They will be able to send back the transactions if it's unauthorized. They can help you stop these transactions in the future also.

Travi101707 ~ I had a loan through them, but could not tell you what site I was on. I think me and my husband went to a payday loan site and filled out some information and then we got a call from a couple of people in reference to loans, so who know what site that you might have hit.

I never called them, just send emails. It did take me a few emails but finially got a response.

Dennis marked out account PIF, but would not refund any money. He said that he could not authorize a refund and that had to be done through their main office in the West Indies!

2nband I went through my bank and filed a claim they are researching and contacting the authorities if necessary, they have returned my money. I have also filed a complaint with the BBB. I received the same PIF from Dennis wanting a signature and fax back. This is so Crazy!

This just happend to me I applied for one of those payday loans at ipaydaylending.com. I got a call shortly after from a woman whos name I did not catch telling me I was approved for the loan I applied for and that the loan would show up in my account tommorow from Magnum Z. It didnt dawn on me until a few minutes later when I actually got a call from the real company I applied for the loan with who sent me all the documents I needed and approved my loan. I got several emails right after from debtdoctor and magnum Z asking me to follow an address to review my loan documents. I have emailed them to cancell this bogus payday loan and called their number but gotten no answer.

renes,

If you haven't spoken to them again, I would wait for the next call. While laws differ from state to state, I have yet to read the article about someone who was arrested over not paying back a loan.

What they can do is sue you in small claims court, win a judgment, then try to garnish your wages, but somehow I have the feeling that companies who use these tactics won't go through that process.

If the loan isn't legitimate (i.e. you don't have one outstanding), I would trace the call and report it, as it could be a scam to force money out of you. If it is legitimate, I would go to your lender and work out a payment plan with them.

Depending on the state, once a loan goes into default, they are limited to collecting only the principal on the loan and not the interest. It's still a hit to your credit report, so I don't recommend it, but it may be an option where you live.

Check with the local/state laws before proceeding so you are aware of your rights in this situation.

Good luck.

Some lady from a place called bad debt investagations called me today saying that I still owed magnum $420 on a $300 dollar loan. I have already paid them $560. I put a stop payment on them but She said if I don't pay by the end of August that they would take me to court. Do i pay them or not?

Jen ~ I would say that you have already paid them off. I don't think they are going to take you to court. I have been trying to get a refund from MagnumZ, LLC and was told I had to send letters to the West Indies, needless to say no response or the letters have been returned as undeliverable. What state are you in? You might check to see if they are licensed in your state.

I was also having $60.00 every 2 weeks and after finding the phone # 888-276-4189, I finally got someone on the line, they said according to their records they did not show that I had called in to request the amount to be paid off! This was new to me, so they made out like fat cats on me! Needless to say I am having them pay off the amount, and will keep a very careful check on my checking account to make sure they take nothing else out. :x
