My week has been OK...Next Friday is the big day when all these big payments start up. EEK! I've already started scrimping on money to get ready so I will have a little extra to get me through.

It will take until around July 15 to get my first round done. :)

Do the letters have to be certified or can they just be return receipt can't afford both? :(

I generally send mine certified. I know it can be costly but for me it was worth it.

The Post Office stated only certified letters will hold up in court. I sent my letters certified first class with an electronic return receipt. $4.14 each letter.

Last time I sent letters out to collection agencies, I went to the post office and my intent was to send them certified mail with electronic return receipt (I know it's only, what, 50 cents cheaper, but when you know you will be sending 30-40 letters over the next few weeks, you have to think smart, right?). So I walked up to the counter and told her exactly what I wanted. She told me that "It's the same thing as the regular return receipt." I told her that it's 50 cents cheaper so I wanted it electronically. She gave me a big sigh and said "I don't know how to do that anyway." I just looked at her and gave up. I wasn't in the mood to fist-fight that day...LOL.

And 50 cents is 50 cents! I've learned how much every penny counts in this last year or so since I've been stuck in this mess. And over 40 letters, that's 20 dollars! :)

I have to agree with Jessi.

I would have been asking for the Supervisor. Just think you would have also been doing a good thing by helping out the next person who asked for the service plus the lady would have learned how to do it well after 20 of them.

That's the one thing my Chris always tells me, "You're too high strung, you need to relax." I'll relax when I have time to relax...lol

You have to go to an official Post Office to get the electronic return receipt. It cannot be process at a contract Post Office.
