Anyone know who this is? 952-835-2283. I did a google search and a yahoo search and got two different responses, one says it is a residence and one says it is a company called Arx Llc, but I can't find any additional info on that company. They call constantly, all day, but hang up on the answering machine. So, I called the number and they answer "thank you for calling the northland group", does anyone know who that is...it is strange that no searches come up with that.

They have been calling me this entire week... about 10 times a day. Each time I've asked them to please remove me since I'm not the person they are looking for. They are very rude people... I called the 800-800-8191 and asked them directly to remove me. I hope this works.

Something unnerving to say the least, happened today concerning this number. I typed the number into google to see what it might bring up..It brought me here. I see this is for collections but whoever these people are, are collecting more than owed debt.
I am married to a world famous entertainer. People know him by his stage name not his real name. We are very protective about our private life. Nor information is ever given out about where we live. We also change phone numbers ever so often, to avoid leaks.
Our son was called today..by a man from this number.. He said that his dad (gave first name of stage name) had given he and his wifes name (called both by first names) as a refference..He then went on to say they were on the phone with my husband and they got disconnected..so they were calling him to get my husbands number.
This is very scary to me. Our business transactions are handled threw his agent. He did give the Name Northland and an 800 number to call..He told our son that his dad would know who he was..To reinnerate we would never give out information on our children.
We dont need to use anuyone as a refference because our business is done threw his agent.
I see this is a 2006 thread ...so I will check back to see if anyone has any thoughts on this.. I am seriously considering reporting this to the F.B.I but feel at this time I just dont have enough to warrent an investigation...Sorry for my sig.name..I did this to partly explain my posts.

If anything you need to find out if they have your sons or husbands SSN etc. FBI isn't the way to go, if they do have those important #'s, then you need to put a fraud watch on their ssn's.

Could your husbands agent be crooked?

And if your husband is so famous, don't you guys have a lawyer?

Thank you sswett for your input on this matter. I will call social security and have them advise me on a fraud watch. I have no way of knowing if they have the numbers or not... I am still perplexed as to how they located our child.
His agent is trustworthy. He has been with us for over 20 years. He represents another high profile female artist as well.
The calls come in to our son as described by others on the net. He reports that sometimes he has answered the phone and the connection sounds like he is on hold..Sometimes he hears music playing but no one ever picks up the phone.
He was able to tape the man who was calling. I heard the tape. The man doing the calling is very desperate sounding and very demanding. He talks very fast as he goes into his fabricated story about how my husband needs to talk to him and wants to have him call..He makes it sound almost like my husband is somewhere with his life in danger and he is the only person who can save him.
Our son called the phone company last friday and reported these calls. The Man was called and warned that the police would be contacted if he recieved anymore calls from him. So we will see if that warning will stop the calls or whether a restraining order will be necessary.
And yes we have excellent lawyers ,who are also close friends.. Just not sure whether to involve them at this point.
Thank you again sswett for your reply and suggestions.....H.F.H

It could be a number of things, 1) someone is "spoofing" the number on your caller ID,or 2) Watch out for ID Theft. Generally, the FBI has put ID theft on the back burner because of limited special agents and the war on terror. Although, if your husband is famous enough, they might investigate.

It sounds like you've been doing the right things. If you hear from the number again, talk with one of your attorney friends.

The reason there is a pause when your son anwsers is because some auto-dialer systems dial up a number, and then route it to the first available "assistant", sometimes there is a pause till an assistant becomes available. Telemarketers use this as well, as well as survey takers, collectors, etc.

Northland Agency is local to me and I know current and former employees. Quite reputable as for as collection agencies go. They handle a variety of debts, including debts from several schools.

Wife of Famous Entertainer....I once successfully collected from a famous entertainer....this individual is a two time academy award winner. The student loan was under another name but a credit report search and one of my connections at Citibank gave me the home phone. I got paid off in full rather quick...it was for a student loan that got lost in the system due to a name change.

From what you wrote, it does not sound like the CA did anything illegal. You said they made it sound important....they were trying to create urgency. Calling the police and phone company it going a little overboard. Unless you put it in writing, the CA is under no obligation to stop calling....the police cannot stop them. That is the law. Unless he actually said something specific, or made an actual threat, your grounds for a restraining order are nil. Have your husbands agent call...make sure that the agent has a current copy of a power of attorney as the CA cannot talk to a third party without it.

Being a famous actor does not mean you cannot have a debt in collections. Over the 10 years I collected, either I or my coworkers collected from my famous people, including NBA and NFL superstars, a cast member from the Waltons and another from LA Law. None were particularly difficult to find...neither were their home phone numbers. Between credit reports, Lexis Nexus and other creditors, phone numbers can always be found.

I received a call from this number today. I thought it might be business-related, so I had my assistant return the call and the guy identified himself as being from North LINK Group. I've seen one poster that claimed this agency was reputable, if that's the case, why would they use a different name? I've had some recent identity theft issues, so I'm a little paranoid... should I return the call?
