my car was repossessed in the year2000, they are still bugging me for payment they say i owe a balance of 6000.00 because of the interest last year i started paying them 100.00 a mont for 16 months because they were "ruining my life" lol.... now they started calling me at work. are they allowed to call me at work, and when will this be off my credit report? i live i n canada? thank-you

I'm not much aware of the facts involved with repossession, however, it seems that your creditor has sold the car but could not meet the whole loan amount. That is the reason they are behind you. You can ask for some papers that can show, how much they received by selling the car, what is the outstanding balance etc.

Also check your PM, I found some info regarding repossession and sent it to you.

Car Repossession in Canada

Depending on the province you live in rules are different. If you live in Ontario, I suggest you try this website, gatesfinancial.yp.ca They are based in Mississauga and they are very good and knowledgeable.
