On "stupidity": the fact is that people are all over the place on intellect. Another fact is that where you are in terms of intellect doesn't make a spit's worth of difference in your value and worth as a person. In the Sermon on the Mount, I don't recall having read where Jesus said anything like, "blessed are the smart people..." In fact, I'm pretty sure that's not a criterion for anything worthwhile. And many people who are not so intellectually sharp, and many who are naive, are taken advantage of by smart people who demonstrate by their actions that they're not worth the powder and shot it would take to blow them away.

The sin is in taking unfair advantage of others, not in having been taken advantage of.

lgall-we have probably all felt kinda stupid for getting ourselves mixed up with these people. Fact is, we are simply human. You have shown how smart you really are to be digging yourself out! Good luck to you and trust me, there will be someone you can help in the future....as long as the PayDay lenders are in business...there will always be someone. Congrats to you!!! Take a big ole' deep breath for me too!
