I got a call from the same number today...and he said "uhhhh..." and then stayed on the line for about 30 seconds before he hung up. I do not know the person - maybe it's someone that just sits and dials numbers???

See I thought it was weird. That is kind of funny though what he did to you. Dork.

I received a call from that same number today. I wasn't home to take the call and no message was left.

guy hung up. maybe only says hi to females or kids...

Just got a call from that number. It was a solicitor for one of the scam Police benevolent groups.

yep. happened to us on sunday nite . no message left on voice mail just a long open line with radio noise in background . guy is a weirdo!!!

I'm from Kansas City, Missouri. I get the same number on my caller ID on our home phone.

WEIRD The number only cals during the day when nobody is home.

I live in Kansas City too and when the number poped up on my caller ID I answered and they just hung up. It is about 8:30 pm

he called me this even 7:30 and told me that they was a big screen tv in my back yard and hung abruptly. so i had to go look, nothing and nobody was there. weird hun

I just got a call from that number (noon) and he said he was from the police protection etc....
But he sounded like a creep!

That number was on my caller id today. Tried to google the number and got nothing but found all this. I hope her calls when I'm home...my whistle is ready.

This is interesting. I live in St. Joe which is just north of KC. Should this person be turned into the police since they are obviously a scam acting like the police protection funds people? Are any of those people really ligit anyway? I haven't had any calls for awhile. Has anyone had any recently?

Another question...what in the hell is the point of telling someone there is a big screen TV in the backyard? Did they REALLY say that?

I had a call from this number yesterday--09-25-06 @ 5:37pm. Just showed up on my caller ID.

I recieved a call from the same number. I also live in Kansas city area.

I reported this to the Attorney General's office back in April. The voicemail box of the caller, if you call the number back, previously said "Harry Palmer", now says "Office of Police Protection Funds". The voicemail box is always full so you cannot leave a message. The person who calls says, " I'm calling on behalf of families of police officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty. We would like to mail you decals in return for a donation, can I have your address please?" I reported the Kelly Kaiser phone number and full address to the Attorney General's office and the local police department. Apparently Harry Palmer is still at it.

I got a call yesterday from this number (10/17) at 2:51 p.m. They didn't leave a message. Maybe the Attorney General's office needs to look at all these posts.

I had the same caller....hung up when i answered. I'm saving the number and I'm going to keep calling back...I think we all need to ---- tell this guy the law is on tho him....

Received a call from 636-327-4442 today in Festus and they just hung up on me.

The person just called my home # at 745 tonight and didn't leave a message...not the first time I've seen the # either....

I have been recieving these calls down here in Joplin for about a week now. Everytime I anwser there is silence on the other end of the line. I wonder if they are trying to call numbers to back door into a (my for example) computer to get any vital information off of it. I know he can't get into mine that way, it was just a thought, for those who are on dial up and stuff. Anyways, last year about this time, the same number and problem was happening and it was for the police protection fund, and I forwarded it to atty gens office. Apparently they have the ability to fake the caller ID now, where as, they call you from say 417-624-xxxx and it posts as 623-327-4442, so it is getting really hard to catch these guys as they are really not in the place the number on the caller ID indicates.

I just got a hang up from that same number...googled it and this is what i got....he's still at it!

I did get another call just the other day & they "said" they were from the police protection fund.

Just got a call from this number. The guy coughed a couple of times, said hey boy! and hung up. Weird. I bet they are checking to see if they have good numbers to call and solicit.

I just got a call from this number also - one ring and then it stopped, but I have received calls from this same number in the past. I found this site by googling and remember looking it up maybe a year ago. I will be reporting to the no call list. :evil:

I got a call from this number tonight. I keep my ringer turned off because I primarily use the cell. Now I wish I had answered so he could tell me there was a big screen tv in my yard...haha.

I got a call from this number today and he asked for someone who doesn't live in my house. I told him he had the wrong number and then he asked if I was the head of the household. I hung up. Sounds like someone that's bored during the day.
