Paydayok sent a wage assignment to my employer two weeks ago, even tho I had begun making payments. I sent them a revocation letter. I also faxed a copy to my hr lady, who luckily is well aware of the fact that they can't do a thing. So paydayok got my letter, and they turned around and sent another wage assignment to my employer. What's up with this? can they even do that? It doesn't matter, because as soon as I found out about the second one I paid them off in full. (Yippee, I have 2 payday loans gone! 3 to go!) I am concerned though, because I'm afraid they're going to add fees and stuff (they've tried this before)and get a judgement against me. I have kept all my payment receipts and all correspondence from both ends. I have a feeling this is going to be ugly. Any advice?

Are in the process of consolidation? Inform your counselor that this lender is trying to get more money. Your counselor can help you stop this. Keep us posted.

BTW, did you send the revocation letter via CMRRR? Do you have the return stub? Once they receive they are no more authorized to take money from your paycheck directly. I think you can take legal action against them as well.

I am not going through a consolidation company, i am paying on my own. Paydayok approved my payment plan, and I only owed $119 last week. My payments were steady, never missed one. that's why I was surprised when they sent the wage assignment in the first place. yes, I did send the revocation letter certified, they did indeed receive this. You bet I kept the receipt! i will be checking into the legal action thing. But..After receiving the wage assignment revocation, what stops them from getting a judgement to garnish? Yes, I did pay them off after my employer got the second wage assignment, but what I didn't mention before was that the second assignment was for $75 more than we had agreed upon.
