I need these website address for research and to get help with credit

"Cash Today Services" is licensed in Nevada for operation in three Las Vegas locations:

CASH TODAY SERVICES cc 1620 S DECATUR BLVD #A LAS VEGAS NV 89102 (702) 258-0888 05/25/99 CD06188

CASH TODAY SERVICES cc/br 2333 N JONES BLVD #110 LAS VEGAS NV 89108 (702) 258-0888 06/26/00 CDBR06190

CASH TODAY SERVICES cc/br 2300 E DESERT INN RD #1 LAS VEGAS NV 89109 (702) 258-0888 06/26/00 CDBR06189

Information from the Nevada Secretary of State indicates that there is no corporate entity registered in Nevada under the name, "Cash Today Services". There are four entries:

CASH TODAY CORPORATION C16918-1996 Permanently Revoked
CASH TODAY LOANS, INC. C9566-2001 Active
CASH TODAY OF NEVADA, INC. C2904-1998 Revoked
CASH TODAY ONLINE, INC. C7764-1999 Permanently Revoked

Cash Today Loans, Inc., the only one of the bunch that's "active" is operated by:
DENNIS & GARY J TURNBULL,
500 N RAINBOW BLVD, #300,
LAS VEGAS, NV 89107

My guess is that none of these are related to the "cash today" scam operators complained of so often on this website, although the license is not in the same name as any corporaton. It could be a registered fictitious name of a sole proprietor or partnership not required to register with the Secy. of State.

My guess is that the company that's ripping people off is probably:

CASH TODAY LIMITED
NORTHWAY HOUSE
1379 HIGH ROAD
LONDON
N20 9LP

It's the only one I could find by that name. There is no company named "Cash Today Limited" that is authorized by any state I've checked to engage in the payday loans business.

I would be interested to know more about how, exactly, are people getting these loans. If through a website, could someone please give me the domain name (don't need the http or www stuff, just xyz.com type stuff) so I can run a "whois" on it?

In the meanwhile, I would advise people to be really careful in looking at their bank statements - if the name, amount, or any other data relating to any transfer of funds is not what it should be, write to the bank/credit union/etc. right away and tell them that the charge was fraudulent and unauthorized and that you demand that the charge be reversed. The mere fact that you disclosed the account information to someone does not authorize them to charge against the account any way they want.

personalloans4all.com is registered to a "cashfast123 llc" in phoenix Az; There's no such LLC in Az; however "cashfast" is registered as a tradename; the owner is CASH FAST FINANCE LLC at 11075 E. DESERT VISTA DRIVE SCOTTSDALE AZ 85255-8062.

I started looking at worldwidecashnow.com, but the information I got was almost certainly all fake. I didn't bother to track it down exhaustively, but I'd bet there was nothing at the end of the trail.

I notice that none of the payday loan websites' "about us" page actually says anything "about us". None of them provide the disclosures required by Federal Reserve Board Regulation Z and the Consumer Credit Protection Act.

Whoever's doing the lending has to provide the minimum disclosures in conjunction with their offer. That's why the car ads on TV and radio always have something about apr. If they're not actually making an offer, but only saying "gee, we're a company that does credit" then they don't have to (so some TV ads for credit cards, for example, don't say what their "low initial transfer rate" actually is) but all the payday loan websites I saw were actually making offers.

In Virginia, it's a violation of the Consumer Protection Act to use any kind of deception, false or misleading statement, or false promise in conjunction with a consumer transaction, or to use any name to identify the supplier other than his/its full legal name.

I repeat the opinion, expressed elsewhere, that the unlicensed payday loan companies are engaging in felony violations of RICO for loansharking, and the referral websites are guilty of conspiring to engage in loansharking, also a felony under RICO. Sometimes I wish I were a prosecutor.
