If I understand correctly, 7 years would be up on August of 2006, which is this coming August. But I think it can take up to 6 months after that.
You can try to dispute the accounts with the bureaus and try to get them removed that way if they're paid in full.

Denise, what is the status of the account? Is this holding negative remark? What is the date of reporting? If you have a charged-off account which became charged-off in 2001, it is likely to go off of your report in 2008 irrespective of the DOL.

Check state SOL here. If the time frame is over, you need not pay it legally. But that does not stop collectors calling you.
SOL for credit report is same for all the states, it is regulated by FCRA. The clock starts from the date a derogatory mark enters your report.

If it is a negative item, it should drop off of that credit report after august of 2006. If it is still on in September, you may want to go through the dispute process.

I think negative items go off of credit report after 7 years from the date of reporting, not the date of last activity, right?
