Does T&C handle all debts or just payday loans?

yeah, when I called, they gave me a 1-800 to call to get the application started, then they will transfer you to a counselor who will walk you through the rest of it. THen, every time thereafter you will call the 205 number. if you call the 205 number, tell them you are new, and that you need the 1-800 to start the application process.

YES!! as soon as you can, close your current account and open a new one. this will keep them from debiting your account once you have consolidated. This is because even though T&C sends letters/correspondence to PDL co's, they may at first refuse to work with them, but after they recieve a few payments, they will stop. So, if there is no account to debit from, you will not be put deeper in the hole. I had a problem with that. I tried to close my account, but needed to keep it open for my direct deposit, so now I'm having to go back and file fraud claims on all those charges...I REALLY wish I had enough time to close it out before all those debits hit! good luck to you, and keep us posted!

I think if you can open one at a new bank, and you're not partial to your old one, then it is better to go to a new bank. As far as I know, the companies cannot debit through a new account if they don't have that account number...but it may be different for different banks, and so the safer thing, if you are able, would be to go to a new bank.

Hi everyone. I've seen several people mention this company T&C and that they can help with payday loans. Is this a legitimate company, and if so, would someone be willing to tell me how to contact them? I had to have emergency surgery done and I didn't have a long enough credit history to get a regular loan, so I ended up taking out several payday loans, and now I can't even sleep and night and really need some help. Thanks so much to anyone who has some information that could help me.

Ashley

Thank you so much for the info. I have been reading through the forums on this site for the past 2 hours, and I was shocked to see how many other people feel like there's no way out of debt problems no matter how hard you try. The people on this site seem to give great advice and support, and I'm glad I came across this site and signed up.

Thank everyone so much for their help. I called T&C, and they've set everything up for me and I think I can breathe now for the first time in a while. They did suggest that I contact the bank and request stop payments for all of the payday loan places to make sure they don't try to debit my account anyway. Does anyone know how to do that? Thanks!
