Payday loans - how far lenders can go

How far can payday lenders go to make you repay. They have called to threaten me at work. They have requested that I immediately wire money to them which I don't have. They prey on people who can't get loans thru traditional means and take advantage of you when you miss a renewal fee. Please advise. I reside in the state of TN. None of the loans that I acquired are in this state, they were done on line.

Browse the forum and you will get more and more information on online payday lenders. Most of the online payday lenders are not licensed to do business in your state. Moreover there are some usury laws for most of the US states. Now if the lender is charging more than they are supposed to, then they have violated the law.
