I should have known better. We had been in this situation before and it was very difficult to get out, but no, I agreed with my husband's decision to get a payday loan so we could buy my daughter some new school clothes. She could have worn her old clothes for one more week but ok whatever we are going to pay the loan on our next payday anyway.

The next payday rolls around and it is fair time. I love the fair and my daughter has never been. Howabout we wait and pay it off next payday so we can go to the fair? ok.

The next payday comes and... oh no... the car breaks down. Now we not only can't pay the loan we need another to fix the car.

The next payday my daughter gets sick and there are doctor bills....etc... etc... and etc...

until now we have ... I'm ashamed to admit how many. We were paying them down, when the landlord decided he wasn't going to renew our lease, so now we have to find somewhere to live.

It's always been my dream to own my own home, so my sister talked us into trying to buy. I knew it was a mistake right now, with the loans and all, but we tried, not really thinking that we could get one due to credit problems. But we did get approved and we closed on December 30. Unfortunelt the cost we were quoted for the closing doubled and we had to come up with $1700 in one day..... well you ccan guess what happened. All the loans we had paid off came back. Now I"m so scared that we might lose the house. They are taking $600 a month from our checks, and that on top of house payments, car, insurance, etc... we are truly drowning in debt.

I got the number for T&C last night, and we are waiting until closer to payday to give them a call so we will have the money to send them thier retainer. I really can't wait to consolidate all of these payday loans. I won't be scared to answer the phone then and maybe we can afford to paint the living room and fence the back yard so my daughter can go outside and play.

I am so thankful to everyone on this site who has given encouragment through thier own stories. It has given me hope and made me less fearful of the legal consequences from these so called check advances. After I talk to T&C I will post an update to my story.

Been there too, done that. I too had 4 payday loans and will never do that again.

So far I have 2 paid off, but find that three others - yes you read right - 3 others are trying to get me to pay then. Currently I'm trying to get them all to verify accounts. The moral to the storey is - even if you are a serious financial pinch - DON'T DO PAYDAY LOANS - it will only cause further financial hardship. Besides most are nothing less than crooks.

Dolphindance, welcome to debt consolidation Care Community :D

You are right about payday loans. These are exclusively made for short term. Payday loans should not be revolved by any means. I'm sure your experience with payday loans will help many in future. Keep in touch.

I have learned my lesson. I had been paying payday loans since June 2005. Never had anymoney left over got pd loan one after another to pay one back or pay rent, house payment, utilities whatever. Then I got a call from Hess & Kennedy about consolidation and when they said they do payday loans ( said YES!! then I decided to do a search on them and found this site and T&C. Boy am I glad. I would have had to pay Hess $500. a month for 3 months then the consolidation pay was over 400. couldn't afford that. then I got the info for T&C and am glad I did. They are a Godsend. I haven't had any nasty phone calls from the PDLs only two creditors still call me - one said they never received a proposal from T&C -so will get in touch with T&C on Monday. The other is First National Bank of Marin (now Bank One) don't ever get a credit card from them. I bnelieve they are a foreign bank. When they call it is always an broken ENglish person calling. I am just so glad I found this forum. You guys have been very helpful to me. NEVER EVER will I get a payday loan no matter how bad I need it. I have lived on less than $40.00 this month but things will get better in July, when I get caught up in utilities and house payments.

ive worked with this company for over 2 years let me tell u something they are a money shark, they change there names repeatedly ever since i started and let me tell it get so confusing on how may company they deal with and telling customer that they work for them, but they dont there all one in the same, payday loans, sonic, cash transfer centers, and payday avenue, there name use to be payroll loans but change it after they got in trouble with so many complaint against them, charging customer as high as 27 per 100 and now with payday advance they charge customer a whopping 35.98 biwkly but that only the iceberg if u go nsf that extra 29.00 and since they take 2 withdrawals from your account you got charge double so if you go nsf thats 29 2x ouch that hurt so much if your working pay check to paycheck, do you guys really want to know there addresses, go online and they will give an office on dublin ireland, and on malta, but they are just a center for issuing loans, not the collections or anything collections is based in BC canada and the call center is based in mostly winnipeg, one is on main street of winnipeg and the other is at 500-259 portage avenue so they have to call center here in winnipeg, there contact number is 1-204-940-6939 once you call that number you will be forwarded to a supervisor and then you can question them and since receptionist does not answer those call not sure why..........anyways good luck to all of your fight............i dont work there anymore.........and im happy with that............miss some of my coworkers but thats it............do not loan with them anymore.........they will suck you dry for all the hidden fees.............SO BEWARE OF THEM IN PAYING THEM YOUR HARD EARNED DOLLARS.
IF YOU CAN TRY TO WAIT UNTIL YOU GET PAID DO IT AT LEAST YOU DONT HAVE TO WORRY ABOUT ANYONE TAKING UR MONEY OFF YOUR ACCOUNT FOR UNNECESSARY FEES.............GOOD LUCK TO YOUR FUTURE ENDEAVOUR.............sincerely magnifica
