Look over your agreement that you signed with CTC. Even though a copy of the wage assignment is in there, if it wasn't signed in person it's void.

Also, seeing how they are voluntary, you can fax them a letter stating you are revoking the wage assignment.

If you feel comfortable with someone in your payroll department, you could also warn them. If it's a larger company, your payroll department should be familiar with the process of wage assignments and will know that digital signatures cannot be accepted.

Regards-
Mike

They are just trying to scare you into paying your loan with them. Don't let them take advantage of you and let your counselor at T &C know about the situation. Send the wage assignment revocation letter by certified mail with return receipt requested. This will prove that they received the correspondence. Also, contact your payroll department so they know what is going on, just let them know this is a creditor who is listed in a debt consolidation program. You really don't need to be any more specific than that.

khrisangel..
Everyone here is right. Please calm down first. I know that feeling, the shaking and crying and sick to your stomach.
Send that wage assignment revocation letter and contact your payroll department.
They need a judgement in a court of law to garnishee. I've had that done and it takes months and lots of money to do this.
