I have notified 3 of my pdl places that i revoked authorization. I wont have the money to send to T and C unless they stop debiting my account. Has anyone had any luck with them stopping the debits by revoking authorization. These pdls are actually in my husbands name, but i did them over the internet. he knew about a couple cause he had to verify stuff over the phone. I dont know what else to do. I am feeling very depressed right now and I cant believe i let myself get into this mess.

You could also try calling the bank and asking them to freeze that account, if it's possible for you to do so. I actually had to do that yesterday to a checking account of mine because I couldn't get a stop payment on all the PDL's. It has apparently worked though, because the PDL's were unable to debit my account again and have been calling all day to complain about it. So you might give that a try.

If this is a payday loan situation, where the lender is not licensed in your state, and/or is charging you in excess of the amounts allowed under the law of your state, then notify the bank in writing that you're disputing the charges that put you in the red. That's not money you legally owe. You've got sixty days in which to tell them you dispute the money, figured from the date on the statement upon which the transactions appear.

At the least, give the bank copies of the revocation with instructions to stop allowing the transactions.

The bank will be liable if they don't follow your instructions.
