Jewells, it's difficult to have faith on others nowadays. But believe me there are good companies that can help you indeed pay off your debts. It sounds you contacted a settlement company earlier. Settlement is not good for your credit and the process is also slow. You should consider consolidation as an option.
debt consolidation combines all your unsecured debts and offers you affordable monthly installment after probing your financial obligations. So you will find it easy to pay. This site offers free consultation. You can register with this site to receive the counseling.

Hello Jewells,
The best way to go about this would be consolidation (I agree with curlycarl). If you want to ruin your credit and not expect to buy anything (home, car, etc) soon then settlement would be the cheapest way to go. You usually settle for a certain amount of the debt (usually companies throw a pitch for 75% of the debt instead of the whole 100%). Consolidation will at least lower the interest rate that you've been paying and thus monthly will become much cheaper overall.
I would look into T & C to see if they can consolidate your CC bills and go from there.
:) Good luck. I was in your shoes at one time with credit cards but now I have settled about half of them and working on the other half.
