Have you checked your credit report? If it is on your credit report you and dispute it with the credit reporting agency. They will ask Sears to validate the debt. I don't know if this will work for you, but it may be an option you could try.

This is so weird. What are the agencies that you have dealt earlier? I think Sears will not help you any more, they have sold the account. Did you ever inform Sears that the debt was not your?
Write a Cease and Desist letter to this collection agency too. Attach copies of your correspondences with the previous three agencies and state clearly that none of them could verify the debt b/c the debt is not incorrectly imposed on you. So they should stop collecting this debt.
Unfortunately you cannot stop them selling this account to the fifth collection agency. However, if you were a victim of ID Theft and the account was fraudulently incurred by someone else, then you can stop it legally. You should consult a lawyer for more info.

You could ignore them, if it's not a valid debt and you can prove it. When they get around to filing suit against you, go to trial and prove you don't owe the money, and ask the judge to dismiss the case. When you get an order dismissing the case, get a copy of it from the clerk's office and send copies to the credit unions.
You could take a much more aggressive approach and sue the pants off everyone involved, but most people don't want to work that hard or have to work with (or pay) a lawyer.
