I'm looking for a long-term unsecured loan through a bank.

Sounds pretty simple huh? Thing is I've got fair, at best, credit and I've tried applying to the "big boys" (Key Bank, TCF, Wells Fargo) and they just keep on turning me down.

Anyone know of a good bank I could apply for a $3,000 unsecured loan with payments of around $200-300/month or so?

Any ideas on how I could go about working with the "big boys"?

True, Credit Unions may be more lenient. Also, some Credit Unions offer "payday" type loans. Not sure if this is true around the country, but in NC we have credit unions that offer this service. However, there is one HUGE difference. Credit Unions have a cap on the amount of interest they can charge. Therefore, these "payday loans," which they offer without pulling a customer's credit, do not come with the exorbitant interest and fees of a traditional payday loan.
