 I am going to call Advance til Payday now, at T&C's advisment. I will see if they are willing to work within the payment arrangements that I made with T&C. I really can't afford more than that right now and the T&C folks said not to let them make me feel like I need to pay more. Please pray for me as I want to stay strong and its always nice to know there are people backing you up. Thanks for your support. Will let you know how it goes.

Thanks Polly.Well, that went so much better than I thought it would. The message they left were so mean and obnoxious I was kind of scared to call them. They just won't work with T&C. She even said she would let me just pay $50 a month for the next 2 months so I can get caught up on stuff and then try to pay more after that. She was kind of nice about it but also said if I didn't work this out with them personally that they would file legal papers and send me to small claims court. After they got a "judgement" against me they would send the account to their corporate office for collections. Sounds hokey to me but rather than stressing about it I just set up the arrangement. I will email T&C and let them know to take them off my list. I can't wait til all these things are taken care of and off my back. Thank you so much for everything you guys have done for me. Your the best.

No, they are a storefront lender.
I just got done talking with my car loan people. I'm behind my March and April payment. The guy I talked with was so nice. He set up for payment at the end of the month and said we can set up for April payment in May. He was very sympathetic when I laid it out for him about the payday loans and the fact that I was working with a consolidation company. He was also understanding about my losing my kitty. He told me once I get out from under the payday loans, never, never go back. No kidding !!!! Feels like I was stressing about nothing. I guess some companies will work with you as long as you are upfront with them. I wish the PDL people just didn't have to be so mean about it.

Another thing to keep in mind, my car loan people ( though over all they are still a bunch of butt munches) were able to offset two payments to the end of the contract for a nominal fee. ( I think about $250, a little less than half of one normal payment). Maybe your would consider something similar. Doing this enabled me to get that back on track, and direct the money I would have used to double down that payment towards catching up some other bills. Come the 28th I will finally be 100% current with EVERYBODY and no PDL either!

Clay and celticlass, I'm glad things are starting to work out for you. Your posts bring up an excellent post. What many people don't realize is that many of your lenders (car, mortgage, even credit cards) are often willing to work with you. The key is to call them BEFORE you are late or delinquent. By working something out with them beforehand, you may be able to avoid the payday loan trap in the first place. I know for many people on this board it is already too late for this advice, but I really wish more people would realize this before they get in over their heads.

One thing about storefront lendors is that they WILL take you to small claims court if you avoid repayment. It's more or less like writing a hot check to a computer store, and them not getting paid. Although they're less patient, dealing with them is much easier. Please keep your promise with them, as usually they only allow you to goof one more time.

Regards-
Mike

Oh, no doubt about it Mikey. It's not that I don't want to pay, I just overextended myself. I acknowledge that it is my own fault and I really just want to be free and clear of these things. I just couldn't keep doing the pay and reloan thing every payday as I was never getting out debt. I am hoping with debt consolidation and me finally sticking with a budget I will be able to be a person that is always on time with my bills and even has some xtra money every once in awhile to do fun things. I will definitely be sticking with the plan until all are paid off.
