Debt Consolidation - Help Please!! :)
Date: Mon, 04/17/2006 - 08:00
I have been in contact with a couple of debt consolidation companies. I have done the budgets, the bills, and what I need to get paid. It's just me and my daughter in the home and my ex pays the rent for us. I want to get all of my bills paid off to improve my credit and also to get the collectors off of my back. Is there anyway of doing this with the income that I have coming in and not being broke while doing it? I live in Michigan and can't seem to find a company that doesn't charge an arm and leg for their services....Please Help!!

Angel, there are people who can help you. I know it may seem hard to find help though, because Michigan is probably the toughest state to do business in as a debt consolidation company. Most people will tell you to sign up for this site and let someone contact you who can help you. If you do not find that helpful (if they are unable to help Michigan residents), then post here again and I will be happy to suggest alternatives for you.

I have put in all of my information on this site and never really heard anything back from them. I really would like to get all of this in motion, so if you have any help to give, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you so very much!

Hi angel,
This is an unusual case when people do not receive any call back form the counselor after registering with this site. As stated by Vikas in some other thread, an automated system matches your need with the qualities of different Ranking Chart listed companies and picks up the best match for you. However, if your need does not match any of the companies, then you might end up receiving no calls at all. In that case, you should write to the site admin, asking for an arrangement of free counseling.
I would suggest you either sending email or PM to Vikas right on. Feel free to PM me if you need any more information.

Bankruptcy should be your last choice. If any other solution does not work, then only you should think of bankruptcy, not before that. Bankruptcy stays on your credit report for up to 10 years. So be careful while taking any decision.
debt consolidation often helps people pay off their debts without damaging credit. This site offers free consultation to the members. You should discuss about your credit report with the consultant and the consultant will let you know how you should proceed.
