jessi, try calling the doctor's office as well, let them know how rude the CA was.. it might help

I called the dentists office, and she said they will accept the payment if I bring something in when I get paid. But they would still forward it to the attorney.

I said, "Thats fine, do what you want with it, but I'm not sending that lady ONE DIME for the rude way she talked to me."

I don't see why they don't just RECALL the account from the attorney and save some money, but that's just me. That lady needs a serious attitude adjustment. Makes me want to go let the air out of her tires and write bad words on her windshield...lol I'd never do that of course, but it makes me want to...lol

Jessi, do you have the number of the lady, I mean the law office? Call them and get the conversation recorded using DebtCC phone system. We would like to hear it.

JJ has a good point, tell the dentist's office that you will go for another dentist if you need a treatment in future so they have to recall your account back, LOL.

****! Your dentist should fire her for being so unprofessional and casting a pall over his practice. I wouldn't go to any professional who had accounts receivables employees like that. Who did she think she was anyway? It's not like the money was owed to her!

I'm going to make the payment to the dentist...I've already written him a letter about how he should question where he's sending his delinquent accounts through and maybe he should have a talk with his billing department because it's not MY fault that they screwed up and didn't put it on my credit account.

I would hang them out to dry for not doing ther job properly and creating this inconvenience. If they don't offer up a darn good apology, you can get them in deep stuff!

I'm going to do whatever I can do. I'm pretty easy going, and I AM in the wrong for not paying this sooner.

I stated in my letter that they've waited a YEAR for this payment, what's another few weeks?

I'm going to call this lady tomorrow, and tell her I'll be sending my payment to the Dentist's office and she can jello wrestle them for it.

They've already broken the law by saying "we will take you to court", unless they've already made plans to do so. Also by saying, "we'll garnish your wages", they cannot do this without a judgement against you (and in my state, TX, they can't garnish at all).

I told her to bring it on. It's not like they'd have me in court next week, and chances are it will be after my round one bills are paid anyway, and I'd just bring the payment with me and it would prob. get thrown out. I'm not even worried about it.

Jessi, do you have dental insurance? If so, you need to check your insurance EOB for that date of service and make sure that you are being charged correctly...people usually only make mistakes when they didn't get what they wanted from the insurance company. Just a thought.

I have a $1,000 maximum on my insurance...This was for what was over and beyond my coverage.
