Well T&C has openned my account and is beginning to process all these things. I had my first irate phone call today and let me tell you it was a doozy. The guy actually got his nose out of joint not because we didn't pay him but because we didn't call him and talk to him first. Of course he said this all after he cussed my husband out and threatened to take the matter to his attorneys. Then he proceded to tall me that he will not work with any third party companies and that we were getting ripped off. It got me to thinking.... Is there anyone out there who can reassure me that T&C is on the up and up? I have checked them out with the BBB, but I guess I am just terrified of what could happen if this isn't for real.

Franklin,
Was the irate guy a payday loan dude? Don't listen to him! They lie, trust me on that. I personally don't go through T&C, but I have talked to a lot of different forum members who do, and no one has ever said anything negative about them. Also, the BBB would list any complaints.
It's normal to be concerned, this is a major thing you're doing. But I think that you will soon see that things are going to be just fine. And remember, the threats these payday people give you are just that..Threats. Don't take them seriously. T&C are paying them. Tell them not to call you anymore, and tell T&C what's going on. Oh yeah, and relax!

Hey don't them them intimidate you. I don't know who called you but they will work with them. I only had 1 that refused and he was such a jerk I just decided it was easier to deal with him and now he's pretty nice.

T&C is great and very helpful. I know I was kind of hesitant and unsure about them to begin with but I have had a great experience, I would even do a customer testimony if they ever wanted me to. To this day (and we've been with them for like 5 months) I know if I have a problem or question they can take care of it for me. Ease your mind and trust them, they know what they're doing.

It will all work out, Franklin! Don't take any crap from that guy, or anyone. You'll be out of this mess before you know and and you'll be better for it.

Next time he calls to bother you, start asking him random questions..."Do you prefer marinara or pesto?" It shuts them up, and then you can say, "Look...What do I have to do?"

Well I called T&C and talked to them, told them what had happened and she explained to me that even if he didn't work with them that the only legal step he can take is to turn it over to a collection agency and that then the agency will work with them, so that took alot off my mind. It's still stressful though. All these places are storefront pdl's and they know where we live, am I going to come home one day to find someone camped out in my yard if I won't answer the phone? I honestly dread openning my windows in the morning. Last night I unhooked my phone rather than get any more calls. How soon do these calls stop?

That's true, that after a time the payday loan company will sell it to a collector, who is usually more willing to work with someone else. Many of us are going through the same thing. Just keep your head up, don't back down and listen to their idle threats, and it won't be long and you will be able to breath a little easier.

I don't know what state you live in, but most states that I've looked up prohibit payday lenders from seeking criminal action against a borrower, and I'm pretty sure that someone showing up in person would be illegal collection activity. lol that doesn't mean I haven't wondered the same thing, and the pdl companies I borrowed from are all internet.

I'm actually kind of suprised the store front pdl's are calling you that much, our's never did. Most of them turned them to collection or something but I was looking at the hubby's credit report and NONE of the supposed "collection agencies" are reporting to the credit bureaus. I haven't checked Teletrack because that kind of seemed like a hassle from someone else's post but I'm not as concerned about Teletrack. Hang in there franklinfam, it will get better, I promise.
