I'm in the US Army and I move around alot. I have a few unpaid bills that have been given to bill collecters.

I have called and emailed the places I own money to but they never tell me who I have to pay off my debts with. I have money to pay off my debts but I cant find out where to pay!!

Help

Transunion is also the most likely to have the most incorrect information.... Kill two birds with one stone. Your report should give you an idea what the balance is, you can write the creditor and tell them you found an entry from them on your credit report, and would like for them to validate it,including the balance. You may find some accounts that were reported in error in the first place.. at one time I had 32 accounts on my Transunion report that weren't mine, some dating to 15 years before I was born!

Consolidate the debts. You will be paying one installment to the consolidation company only and they will disburse the money among all the creditors and collection agencies. You need not worry about the payment date, address and stuff like that. Since you are registered with this site, you are ready to receive free counseling. Hope it will help you a lot.

kareem,

First, have you made a log of your phone calls, listing dates and you spoke with, as proof of your attempts to find the correct company to pay for each debt?

Have you received letters from collection agencies, or the original creditor? And have they already contacted someone in your command? (trying to put you in bad graces with the military- ohhhh that stings me to no end!)
