I've received a call from a man stating that he is with the "department of pre-litigation. Telling me all the bad things that was about to happen to me and ruin my good record. Would not give me an address, said they are in a federal building and cannot accept mail. He just went on and on and on. It was a payday loan for 200. My account was closed because we received a letter stating there may had been a leak of my personal information. I tried to set up a payment arrangement but he would not even discuss it. Said it had to be sent moneygram. I didn't send him anything!! This sounds like some familiar tactics I've been reading about what is your opinion? Thanks Ruth

Showmomone,

Don't pay any attention to such calls. Remember, any company trying to hide their identity from you does not prove their legal business methods. They must send you all information about your accounts along with the details of their company.

If you send money to this company perhaps, out of fear, you won't get any hold of them later. They will run away..

Show your legal rights that you will pay to the said account after you have the complete information from the company. If they don't send anything and keep calling you, you will be in charge of filing a case against them.
