Can someone please tell me how I can get my FICO score to raise if I just had a credit card account change from past due 120 day status to current. Shouldn't my FICO score raise?

Hi

Your scores will go up after you make some payments towards the account. It's already good that you have brought the account in the current status. Now, you need to dedicate towards making some timely payments and the creditors will report to the bureaus accordingly. You will be able to see the effect within a couple of months.

Have a look at the link below and know the other components for improving your credit scoring system.

thanks for the info..... wasn't sure if it hurt me by getting an old account active account with a payment. I thought my score would raise already.

I thought of focusing on the link that educates on how to improve the credit scores.

Your regular and timely payment history can do the best to your credit and that also in a shorter period of time. However, you will have to give at least 30 days to see the effect because the bureaus need to be updated from the information providers before they can post anything in your file.
