Advance America was/is one of ours that we consolidated with T&C. They have been very easy to work with and accepted the proposals from T&C.

I sent Advance America and Approved Cash Advance a fax yesterday asking them to settle with me because I have paid over and beyond the amount that I borrowed from them in interest and I have not heard back from them yet. My loans are due tomorrow

If they are a store front lender most likely they are licensed in your state and have only charged what it allowed in your state. Even though you may have paid over what you borrowed you may have to still pay back what you owe them, I don't know that they will settle with you without reporting you. I am not sure either. I am going to call them today and talk to them.

advance america is generally pretty cool, I doubt they will settle for less than owed since as a licensed business they do have a legal leg to stand on unlike the internet lenders.. that said though they were more than patient with me

I had a loan with Advance America and they were easy to work with. I mailed them a certified letter stating I was having financial difficulties and could only pay them $25 each pay period. They accepted the offer and allowed me to pay them that amount every two weeks until I had it paid in full.
