Has anyone heard of or know anything about Alliance Funding Corporation? I was wondering because their webiste sounds too similiar to alot of other companies that I have seen posted here. I have been pre-approved for a $3000 loan and am waiting for a phone call from them to see what their catch is - such as "insurance" to guarantee the loan. Just wondering if anyone has heard of them and if we should add them to the list of scam companies.

Actually, I just found out myself on their website. They should have changed their email address on their website. This is actually Ace America doing business under a new name. It states they are out of Dallas, Texas. The name on the website is Alliance Funding Corporation but if you go to their Loan Terms page, all the documentation states Ace America Loans. So, I say we add them to the list.

Actually I was also approved for $9,000.00 They sent me loan papers and everything but the lender on the papers says IPC, Inc. They were notarized and everything. Please tell me they are not a scam I have given them money for disablily insurance and everything. They said I should get the funds in 5-7 days. I ups'd my docs to them and when it was delivered it said it was delivered to the front desk. Actually I have been speaking with a rep on a day to day basis. When i email her she responds to me so i really hope this isnt a scam becuase ive really been hoping for this money.

I am in doubt and thinking why will there be a change in the name of the lender. Although, Alliance Funding has been considered to be a scam, but I really pray that you get the money deposited in your account. Please do let us know about it when the money is deposited in your account after few days.

I have had a similar experience. Alliance Funding offered me an installment loan from $3000 to $9000 and I chose a $5000 loan. They are clever: the documents look official, including a sworn affidavit that must be notarized and a refund policy. But there are several red flags as well such as money order required rather than certified check (although they refuse a USPS money order because they supposedly received several counterfeits), a 14-day window of opportunity as if the "Lender" will disappear after that time, etc. I am still awaiting my loan proceeds which I seriously doubt I will receive. Is the woman you communicated with named Susan Miller?

Consolidation program will help you with all the unsecured debts. Secured debts cannot be put in this program. Talk to your lenders and inform them that you are going through hard times at present. Try to arrange for a payment plan and assure them that you will pay more when the financial situation improves.

Most of the lenders offer easy repayment options during such times. You need to talk to them first and arrange for a payment plan. Just keep in mind that your negotiation will help you in retaining your home.

Do not approach any loan company without doing proper researches. Alliance funding has scammed a lot of people by taking money upfront. If you fall in the wrong hands while approaching for a loan, your total debt amount will increase rather than decreasing.

I did not get my money. I reported them to the FTC today. They told me to call the Georgia Consumer Protection Agency to try to get my money back. I called my mortgage company to see if it was something i could do. They told me the only thing know go through a loss mitigation program and they can redo my loan. The only thing is ive done that before and they denied it, my credit is so poor and i don't know what to do know. Does anyone know of any Smaritans program or any other hardship programs I can do? I have to now come up with $2050.00 to pay the two mnths on my mortgage. I cant loan from any friends, they don't even have homes themselves. Any suggestions???? Anything will help now.

Ben- I did sign up for credit counseling yesterday. I am waiting on someone to contact me.

Hi Teia

Welcome to the forums.

Since you have a poor credit, you might be going through tough times in acquiring new credit. At this point, it is very necessary to concentrate on raising your three digit credit score since it is an most important factor to analyze your financial worthiness.

Try to get a second job so that you have some additional income that can be contributed towards the mortgage payment. Once you make regular payments, your credit scores will start improving and you will be able to renew your financial worthiness.

The lenders will extend any credit to you based on these three digit scores because they will evaluate the following avenues:

  • Your payment history is analyzed.

  • The amount that you owe is taken into consideration.

  • Length of your credit history is determined.

  • They look out for the types of credit that you have used so far.

  • They will look into your new credit.

Please use the following tips to improve your credit score.

Check for incorrect entries - It is mandatory to check your credit report for any mistakes from all the three credit reporting agencies. You can review your report for at least once in a year as well as several months before you apply for a loan.

Timely payments It will be considered a very good practice if you always pay your bills on time. Your prompt payments will put you in a much comfortable position before you apply for a loan. This point is emphasized because a late or missed payment just before applying for a loan lowers the credit score and has worse impact than a missed payment five years ago.

Bring credit balance to the minimum - It is always beneficial to reduce the credit card balances as much as possible. The FICO scores get affected due to how much money you owe on some cards relative to your total credit limit. Credit scores are seen improving if the balances are kept below 25% of the credit card limit.

Don't linger your payments It is suggested not to increase the ratio by closing an account and transferring the remaining balance to another account since the ratio of the credit card balance is linked to the credit limit. Doing this will lower the credit score which should not be generally done while you are on your way to increase your credit score.

Unused accounts to be kept active - While you are applying for a loan, it is suggested not to close any unused account. At the same time, it is suggested not to open a new account also during that time. It is said because if you are having a short credit history or less number of accounts, the credit score gets lowered when a new account is opened as there is no proven track record of it.

Roxette

Don't feel bad. I was scammed in August by CreditOne Financial and her name was Susan Miller. They took about $830 from me. I was told my everyone to kiss my money goodbye. I notified Wisconsin Attorney General, Canadian Authorities, etc. These people need to be stopped, they just keep changing their name. They had me send my via moneygram to a Canadian address. Yeah how stupid was I?

Last night i sent Susan Miller a nasty little message and she emailed me this morning saying my loan has been processed and is ready to be sent and also sorry for the inconvenience. I told he/she i want my money back and I want it back today. I said just as fast as i sent them my money she can send me my money. Whomever this Susan Miller is I am going to make sure they are prosecuted.

Teia,

when you say your credit score is poor. What kind of number are you talking about? Many lenders have programs that can take care of your situation on down to 500 credit scores... even still a few have programs down to 475 credit scores... If you have equity in your home use it to pay off any debts that may be strangling you... There are lenders out there that will work with you up to 120 days past due...

In addition, some lenders are offering my clients loan programs that ignore collections and past due medical accounts.. thereby allowing a cash out refinance on their mortgage to payoff other debts...

Even still, I am aware of lenders that will allow you to go ver the value of your home and lend up to 125% CLTV...

Depending on how far in debt you are, you may want to consider your options in a debt consolidation loan by utilizing your most important asset you own - your home.

just my 2 cents.

These advance fee loan companies promise that money will be deposited in your account after paying the upfront fees. Be careful while dealing with the sales person of these companies who claim that money will be refunded back to you if the application is rejected. They intend to make money from you and later they will disappear.

Sometimes, most of the companies doing fraud will claim that the upfront fees will be credited later during the loan repayment. These are all various ways to cheat people and none of them happen to be true.

In the world of mortgage lending, it is illegal to charge an upfront fee to take an application no matter what your loan officer may tell you.

When applying for a loan, if you are required to pay an upfront fee, think twice. It shouldn't cost you money to hear a "yes" or a "no" through qualifying a few pieces of paperwork.

Just curious, how much money did you give this loan officer to process your pre-approval?

Best of luck.

was trying to get information from Susan Miller and told her she was a fake and told about the site and this was her reply.....

I reviewed the link to the webpage and I recognize several of these people. They are very recent customers and in all cases I am awaiting a clear copy of their drivers license to complete the processing on all. I have notified all of them. What they sent as proof documents were rejected by the lender and I have requested a scanned copy sent attached to an email. A faxed copy of something as small as a drivers license is simply not legible. None of the 3 have sent it to me as yet. When they do, I can finish processing their loan. It is a natural tendency for people who try to borrow money over the internet to not trust. I understand that, but think of the reality of the situation. Many millions of dollars trade hands over the internet every month. You give your credit card information over the internet often. It is the same thing.. And I have never worked for Capitol One or whoever they mentioned. We do thousands of these loans a month. How many complaints can you really find?

I received notification that your application for $600.00 has been approved. In fact, they have approved you for any amount up to a maximum of $7,000.00, if you wish. Your terms are for a "Non-Secured" personal loan at 10.5% apr for 60 months. Your payments on the larger amount would be $150.46 with prepayment of a Credit/Life & Disability policy. They are requiring the purchase of Credit Life & Disability coverage on either note to protect their interest during the period of the loan. Please read "What is Credit Life & Disability" below:
( Credit Life & Disability coverage protects the lender in the unfortunate event that the borrower becomes deceased or permanently disabled during the loan period and are unable to meet their financial responsibilites regarding this loan. This coverage will pay the outstanding balance of the loan to the lender in either of these events. The policy affords NO coverage to the borrower. The current premium for Non-Joint C L & D coverage for this coverage is $281.25 for a policy that would cover the loan for the full term.

Please click the link below to review a "Sample" loan package on our website. Remember these are only "Sample" contracts, but they are identical to the paperwork that would be prepared for you. There are 4 pages in the contract set. Please review these carefully. Along with 2 pages of the Loan Contract is a page called a "Sworn Affidavit of Fact". This document is also a "Sample" for your review. The purpose of this document is to verify your identity to the lender by YOUR NOTARIZED SIGNATURE on the document. Additionally, there may be additional minor provisions, not on the contract document, that will be specified by the lender and listed on this Affidavit (when you receive the real documents). I will explain these when necessary. There is also a sheet with specific instructions about how to process these documents with the lender to receive your loan funds.

(if this link doesn't work, please copy and paste the link directly into your browser search window)

If you review the "Sample" loan documents and wish to proceed under the terms and conditions contained therein, simply print the "Loan Acceptance Agreement" document from the link below and complete. On this document, you may select your loan amount, up to the maximum approved by the lender. After completing, fax it to 1-866-536-5247. When I receive this fax, I will prepare the proper legal documents in "pdf" format, which will include both pages of the "Note and Disclosure Agreement" along with a "Sworn Affidavit of Fact" containing all addendums and email these to you. You will also receive a full set of instructions in this email for signing and returning the loan package for processing and payment by the lender. Please follow these instructions carefully to avoid delays in processing and receiving your loan proceeds.

It is always necessary to do proper researches about a company before entering into an agreement. By doing this research, we get an idea about the company and hopefully save ourselves from being scammed.

Never send money to any loan company that is asking it upfront.

Welcome to the forums.

You might have learnt your lesson by now. Always research on a company before you do any financial dealing.

Alliance Funding has already scammed a large number of people. The consumer protection office as well the BBB and FTC are regularly receiving complaints. I urge you to file your complaints there.

Next time, whenever you deal with any financial company, check the BBB and the local consumer protection office and see if there is any consumer complaints placed against them. Always remember, no legitimate loan company will ask for money upfront. If they are insisting you to send some, probably they are trying to scam you.

I sent Susan Miller a not so nice email on Monday. This was after a week of sending her emails that she did not resond to. She finally replied and told me that she tried to contact me on 10-06-05 to let me know that my loan had been processed and she was just waiting for a clear copy of my drivers license. I replied back how full of it she was and that I had not ever seen her website unitl 11-18-05 it was impossible for to have sent me emails at that time. She then sent me back a reply from Betsy White's email at Alliance Funding. She said that she did not appreciate me not returning her emails and me sending her nasty ones with a threatning tone. I explained to her that I had already contacted the appropriate authorites. She indicated that she would send me a document for my signature by the end of business so that I could have my money refunded. I am still waiting 3 days later. I have contacted the police dept in Texas and this is being investigaged. I told her that just because I was in Washington state did not mean I would not do everything in my power to make sure that she was stopped. I also told her that she made me sick everytime I looked on this site and saw another victim. I am not going to stop unitl I get her for what she has not only done to me and my family but for everyone else.

Tina

Welcome to the forums.

You must report this scam to the attorney general office in your state. This company needs to be put under investigation and it will only be possible after the authorities receive complaints in bulk.

Also, you should send a copy of your complaint to the FTC as well as the BBB. This company has tried to scam many people. Some of the people unfortunately fell into the wrong hands and lost their money. But, some like you have been fortunate enough after doing the proper research.

Let this word spread and save people from being scammed. We need to stay together and help people who are going through hard financial times. They should not fall into the wrong hands and thereby increase their worries.

I also applied for a payday loan with Alliance Funding and Susan Miller sent an email saying I was approved for $9,000 with the $281 insurance insurance catch. I was so excited, but after reading the posts on here, I never responded. She kept sending me reminder emails (7)that my commitment was going to expire and the amount changed from $9,000 to $7,000; and the expiration date had a dollar amount in it (not a date). Since this offer didn't seem to legit, I sent her an email asking if I could just get the $400 payday loan instead. She stated that she didn't work in that dept and that she would pass my application information to Ms White and she would have to process the payday loan for me. That same day I got a message from "Ms White" saying that they could not approve the payday loan because of the information Teletrack had in my file.

Alliance Funding is so full of it...How can I be approved for a $9,000 unsecured loan, but be denied for a $400 payday loan. This shows that they are a complete scam.

I have saved all of the emails from Susan Miller, if anyone would happen to need any of them for a case against them.

That's funny because just like you I initially, applied for a payday loan as well. Susan Miller, then sent me an email that I was approved for both the payday and installment loan and wanted to know which loan I would like for her to process. I guess that she changed imaginery departments. I am still waiting for my refund that she assured me I would be getting. I can't believe that they still have their website on line.

A short while ago I wrote about being taken by this company for the amount of $5,000. I was told an installment loan was possible because I have not defaulted on any previous payday loans (which is true). However, I never did receive the money. The amazing thing is how persistent "Susan Miller" is even after they have cashed the $281.00 money order for insurance. Now Susan tells me that my loan has been processed but my driver's license is not legible and could I send it again via scanner. I reminded her that I never sent a driver's license in the first place since I do not own a car; I sent two photo ID cards instead. Perhaps they want a driver's license for the purpose of identity theft although they certainly have enough information from me already.

Beware. Susan is trying to scam you by collecting the driver's license number from you. Do not give your personal information. Moreover, the company will never send the money to your account. They will just run away after scamming you.

Read this thread and know how others have been scammed by this company. You are one of the few lucky ones who have done some research at the proper time.

Did you send your personal info to them? If yes, immediately file a report with local police and contact credit bureaus to place a fraud alert. They might use your personal info wrongly and put the blame on your shoulders.

If you have sent them your bank account details, then keep watching your account statement regularly. They can hit your account repeatedly without your knowledge.

Also file complaint with FTC, BBB and Office of Attorney General in your state. Needless to say they should be punished as early as possible.

She who is really Mr. Hernandez has been in contact just today again, 1/6/05 and I sent her an email asking for her phone number and he sent me back the following:

answer emails as fast as possible for 10 hours a day. I can handle 50 -75 clients at a time. We prefer to stay in contact with you via email. This is our preferred method because of the time savings. It also provides a written record as to all that each party has said. We have found that 43% of the time when our loan agents place a call it goes unanswered or the customer is busy and must return the call to the agent who is busy and must return the call to the customer (Pnonetag).....You get the idea. It is much faster for you to list your questions or concerns and allow us to address them via email. I hope this is not an inconvenience.

I then sent him an email saying that he is under investigation and that I am praying that he give his life over to God and stop scamming people because every reaps what they sow. Thank you all for saving me money.

i also recieved an email from "Susan Miller" saying that i had been approved for a 7000 dollar loan. "she emailed me the documents and requested that i send 281.25 for credit insurance.. i found it kind of strange that with credit like mine "she" could get me approved for such a large loan with such a small 10.5 rate. so i decided to research this offer, could not find any information on them, the loan was said to come form IPC, Inc. 8828 Wall St. New York, NY. 10292. but "She" wanted me to overnite all of the documents and money order to: IPC Document Collections, Inc. 2807 Allen St. #828 Dallas Tx. 75204 i am really glad i found this board before i fell victim to the scam, i hope that he or she is prosecuted to the fullest for this unthoughtly crime.

I am apparently the latest near victim of the Susan Miller scam. Like the others, I was told that that I was apporved for a $3000 installment loan. It was sketchy from the beginning and I was already aware of advance fees loans from calls that I've gotten, thus I
did not take it any further. Until the FTC starts enforcing the laws, these companies will continue to operate! I am in a huge pinch in that I have poor credit and need to quickly secure a loan to pay past due tuition for my continuing education. Does anyone have any ideas? debt consolidation is not an option due to the strict university rules.

Geoffrey,

Welcome to forums :D

I am so glad that you succeeded in avoiding the trap :D

So you are back to school. If university guideline does not permit you to consolidate old tuition fees, why don't you apply for federal student loan? It is not mandatory to have a good credit to qualify for federal fund. Subsidized loans are basically need-based. You have to fill out FAFSA first to undergo the need analysis process.

Some private lenders also offer student loans and loans for continuing education. But you either have to pass a credit check, or need a credit worthy co-signer. A part time job also may help you.

Bryan,

Thank you for your reply! I actually have a job and already have federal student loans. The problem is that I recently transferred to the school I'm at and am not 'officially' in my degree program (though I'm close to having enough credits for senior status) thus I'm not eligible for federal loans with this school and until I clear the balance I cannot register. It appears a co-signer may be the only route, though I know of none. When this balance is paid and I can register I will get the GI Bill, but only after I'm enrolled in classes. It seems I'm stuck!
