I had a pdl with nationwidecash.com. for $400.00. If I understand Arizona laws correctly they can only charge me 15% in fees and charges which means that I would owe them no more than $460.00 maximum. I have researched this company and find that they are not licensed under nationwidecash.com or nationwide anything in Arizona. They have badgered me by phone calls on my cell phone since I stopped any payments on my checking account for them when I found out they were way overcharging me for their services. They originally wanted $520.00 and now they want $820.00. Can anyone tell me if I'm on the right road with this so far? They have called my cell leaving threatening messages about local authorities picking me up...I have saved all of these messages so I have them date and time stamped on my phone. They've also called my company dispatch center leaving a message about unpaid bills which I believe they can't do??? Today they have now faxed my front office so that my entire staff has seen my personal business stating they sue my in a civil and criminal action suit if I don't pay them. Any advise on this so far???? Thanks so much to all of you who've helped me gain the strength to stand strong against these idiots.

First take a deep breath and step back. Try to relax. There is no way you will co to jail, nor will they send the police after you. They are probably illegal in your state. They also go under Ambassador - check your bank statements. I dealt with them and I had overpaid them by about 1k so I know what you are going through. What i did was to report them to the ag's office in my state alon withe the ftc and ICE with Homeland Security. I did this by e-mail and I cc'd nationwide. Then I sent them an e-mail telling them that they were to communicate with me only in writing and they were to stop calling and faxing my place of employment. Now here is the tricky part - since they owed me I kept going on their web site to do tha "live chat" thing - demanding that they stop calling me and give me back the money that I over paid. I also asked for a transcript of our conversation. When they e-mailed it to me I promptly forwarded it to the above agencies and cc'd nationwide . This worked for me, but they had been taking money from me for a very long time.

Are they the idiots? Aren't you the one who went online to an out-of-state lender when there are plenty of storefronts in Arizona? If you wanted your loan to be governed by Arizona law, why didn't you go to one of them? Or did this only matter after you decided not to honor your contract?

Welcome to the forum. You have come to an excellent place full of support and people who have been through just what you are going through. Here are the laws for your state Arizona (just select your state),

http://www.debtconsolidationcare.com/paydayloan/explain-pdls-laws.html

I have dealt with them as well and they kept calling my cell phone too. They also faxed my office!! If I were you, I would calculate the amount of interest and assure you have paid back what you legally owe them, and send them a letter stating such. They are lying when they say people are coming to pick you up.This is just one of their ways to get more money out of you and if they are not legal in Arizona I do not believe they would have a leg to stand on as far as suing you.

Guest, what's the harm in calling Nationwidecash an "idiot"?

They are doing an illegal business in AZ.
They tuck all kinds of illegal interest rates and fees on the loan.
Repeated phone calls and disturbing others at the place of employment.
And the list of complaints goes on and on..

Is anything wrong in calling them "idiots" when they have so many complaints and running the business illegally in AZ.

first of all relax... they are trying to scare you into paying... write them an email informing them that since they are not licensed in your state, that your contract with them is null and void. If you can offer to pay back the principal amount they may accept it.

What you need to rememeber is: If they threaten to sue.. let them.. the chances of them winning a judegment against you if they are operating illegally in your state is likely very low.. as ofr criminal threats.. they are bogus.. so ignore them.. be strong and you will prevail

Hello, I wish I found this forum earlier. I applied for the PDL on May 31st. I get told I got one for $400, a drop from $1000. They did say the interest is $120 or $30 for each $100. They have already started calling my cell, home, and work wanting me to call them back. I haven't even received the money. Are they licensed in NJ and can I refuse the money by having my bank reject/return the deposit if and when it comes in?

Nationwidecash has taken quite a schilacking these past
couple months,I knew something would have to give eventually. Unfortunately,as we have seen with Cashnet 500,they will just change their name or merge with another lender.

Look for new players that may emerge,Nationwide cash may be just reconstituting itself.

As of 15 May 2007 their new lobbyist is a Dick Minzner.

My hunch it that the website is down for maintenance so they can add more states the the "We do not lend list"
