I just recently dealt with A.S&Associates.... 1-866-331-6161 X 208- Greg Patton.....This man is a real piece of work...I got a pdl from National Money store. I paid back several roll overs to them and this man called me last week at work and told me that I was going to be charged with internet fraud/ and told me that I had no intention of paying it back. I asked what the loan balance was and he said it was $ 572.50 for a 300.00 loan. This was AFTER I paid back NMS several times over..He was really nasty and told me that I was under "investigation". My case number was my SS#. After fighting with him on the phone I told him to send me something in writing. He refused at first. I said send me/fax me validation and I'll have my attorney call you. He said give me your attorneys number and I'll call him. I said I dont think so. He hung up on me. 3 days later I get the fax with the balance that is NOT accurate. I did some research on them and found out that NMS is not licensed in my state to give loans. NMS has SEVERAL complaints against them for their tactics. I sent them a CEASE AND DESIST letter and told them I would rather deal with NMS. I also filed a complaint against them. Havent heard a word since. I would do some figuring and see how much you have paid back...if they call again ask for validation, and if you have paid it back then they can take a hike. This company is NASTY!

and one more thing...Do not take their threats to heart because all they are is threats. They use these intimidation tactics to try and get money out of you when the truth of the matter is...they are the ones who should be under investigation. I would save all messages from them and file a complaint with your Attorney General
A.S&Associates.... 1-866-331-6161 X Lee Ryan
I got a phone call from a lady named Lee Ryan she was calling on behalf of A.S & Associates, she was telling me that I need to pay $560.00 for a payday loan(which I thought was paid off) she then stated if i dont pay that criminal charges will be filled against me she also stated I was going to be charged with internet fraud becuase I got a loan with no intention of paying it back. I told her that, that was not true I thought that the loan was paid back already and i closed my bank account the following month! What can I do? I never recieved any notices or calls from the payday loan company...
These people are the absolute worst of the worst, debt collector
These people are the absolute worst of the worst, debt collectors. They can NOT do anything more than threaten you, they are an overseas outfit that has NO legal ground to stand on. They can not do anything to you, except use words to try and scare money out of you, ignore them and hang up the phone. You don't have any pdl loans out at this time with your current bank information, do you?

Can you clarify what "really nasty message" means. The law states the only information a person can leave in a message is the collectors name, the name of the company and the phone number where the collector can be reached. Send them a cease letter and request a validation at the same time.
...and save the voicemail message.

imadebtcollector, if you put A S & Associates into the search box in the upper right hand corner of this forum, you will come up with numerous topics on this company, non to pleasant at that. Just sayin'. :)

I received a call from a lady claiming that she was calling regarding a claim filed with her office against me and I was being given the opportunity to state my facts and only for a short amount of time. She never named the business she was calling from, but from posts here and in another area I can see the company name. The only thing these people can do is threaten and nothing more. It is a cheap way of getting someone to give money and a terrible hoax. If someone or some company files a claim against you, you will not get a call, you will get paperwork detailing the claim and giving you a number to call to discuss the matter. One must remember as well, there is no debtors prison and they cannot file internet fraud either, even if you did not pay back the loan. How can you file fraud if you put in your correct information or if something happened and your finances became restricted (such as loss of job or inability to pay do to economic, financial issues) or if one went belly up in the finances--especially in today's economy. I agree with previous posts, if the messages are nasty file with the US attorney General, state attorney general, FCC, and even the FBI if necessary. Send a letter of cease and desist and request validation of the claim. Whatever you do, do not give any personal information or money to theses people--request to work with the company they are supposedly representing--do your homework, there are many scams like this out there!
