These people have been calling me and I finally called them back just now and spoke with Marc Waney.
He was undescribably rude. He says they're trying to collect on a catalog account from 1995 and another account from 2001. He says "You need to pay your bills. Obviously you don't and that's why we're calling you."
I told him I did not owe on a catalog account nor the other one and if the debt is from 1995 (that's over 10 yrs ago, right? LMFAO) that he can't collect on it and to remove it from my credit report. He then said "****, I'm not going to remove anything! You should learn the laws of collections before you start preaching to me!" and he hung up!
OMG..that is it. I am going to buy one of those phone recorder things. I've got to get these people on tape once and for all. LOL

Jolie, please check your credit report to verify if they are hit
Jolie, please check your credit report to verify if they are hitting your credit. If they are doing it fraudulently, your scores are getting hurt because of them. Since you never had this account, you must report to the bureaus about this CA. Either the CA has to give you proof that you owe this account or the bureau has to get it verified with the CA and give you results of investigation. Don't let this inaccurate collection entry blemish your credit ratings.
