Has anyone ever talked to a Mike Tank?

I just had some guy call me and say his name was Mike Tank. He said that my loan payment bounced at my bank and it's considered a bad check. He said I could take care of this with a credit or debit card. When I asked him he represents, he proceeded to tell me that I have a bad check I have to take care of. I told him that I wanted validation of the debt and who he was representing. Nothing. Then I told him that I am using BHR and he said he doesn't talk to credit counseling folks. Then he said that he would proceed with legal action by saying that I was uncooperative and then hung up on me. I think he works for Pinion Management because I have had a couple of voicemails from him and when I checked the number it was for Pinion Mgmt.

Did it really happen? I think you are already under debt consolidation program with some company. Make sure that your payments are going to your creditors and accounts are getting paid gradually.
Did you include all your accounts under the consolidation program? If you did, then why Pinion Management is calling you? Ask your debt consolidation company to look after the situation, so that you never get this type of calls in future.
If you exempted some of the accounts from the consolidation process, then you should ask Pinion Management for debt validation. It is your right that you should exercise. Once they send the DV, go through it carefully. If you see anything wrong, dispute the debt within 30 days.
I think Mike Tank or someone else will call you again. Tell them that you are interested to pay the debt and ask for their address. But never disclose your personal information to anybody you don't know, because it's risky.

I don't know if it really happened. He would give me any information about who was representing or about the loan. I have put all of the loans I have under the debt consolidation program.

I'm assuming you've defaulted on your loan payment, and that is why its not in the debt counseling program. Could it have been the debt counseling program that bounced the check? I don't understand why they would contact you, if they've agreed to the program when the counselor called.
