Writing bad check - real life experience
Welcome to the wonderful world of retail...
So today I'm sitting here, and a couple of young girls come in.
They IMMEDIATELY go for the most expensive bed in the store, which is on sale for $3,699.
The one girl says, "If I write a check, it takes 3 days to go through, right?"
I said, "No, we run it for approval today, and deposit it tomorrow."
She said, "Oh, well I'll be back in on Wednesday"
Now, maybe she WILL have $4,000 on Wednesday, I can't call her a liar. I'm also not STUPID.
I just wanted to grab her and say, "DO YOU KNOW WHAT COULD HAPPEN TO YOU BY WRITING BAD CHECK!! COME ON!! YOU'RE YOUNG! DON'T DO IT"

codet- not to scare you but what state are you in? i believe in most states a check that amount would be considered very much illegal.
You've already returned the car. That's one point in your favor.
You've already returned the car. That's one point in your favor. Was this a 'buy here, pay here' type of dealer?
If I knew what state you are in, I could be more helpful.
