Suntrust and EWS
Date: Thu, 05/15/2008 - 11:06
Come to find out, I was right...apparently my account is being closed by Risk Management, so I went to the branch and closed it myself.
I'm not sure what is in my EWS account, but it probably has something to do with all these stupid PDLs...oh well, I never closed my current account, and never really intended to, just thought it would be good to be with a bank that had more locations...
oh well..lessons learned.

Thank you for contacting SunTrust. We do not use Chexsystems. The verification that we use is telecheck and Decision Power. I will tell you that we have been able to approve many people who do have record with Chexsystems, so please give us a try. We offer several checking and savings account options for you to choose from. |
- To get an account here please make sure you are not reported to EWS .. if you are, the account may be opened but will later be closed.
SPECIAL NOTE: ALTHOUGH SUNTRUST INSISTS THAT THEY DO NOT USE CHEXSYSTEMS, some people have reported to me that they were able to open an account but later they were told the account was being closed due to chexsystems, while others remained open. So this may be one that you might want to try, and I would say that after a month if the account is still open , I would then set up direct deposit etc ( it is always wise to have a back up account and never have all your money in one place) www.chexvictims.net for more info
SUNTRUST BANK
I opened an account with Suntrust Bank 2 months ago with no problem. I checked my chexsystems report and Suntrust didn't run my chexsystems report. I called EWS and they have nothing reported about me to them. I opened the account online and made my deposit in the branch, I went right to the teller and didn't speak to any one in the bank about my account and the account has remained open for 60 days with no problem. I also emailed Wachovia and they say they do open accounts for people in chexsystems it just depends on what the report says and I was able to open a account with them. The only reason I opened another one with Wachovia is because they have more branches in my area then Suntrust

BOTH Suntrust Bank and Wachovia use EWS. If you have been reported to EWS and are able to open an account with them, there is a good chance it will close at a later time. Audie and Stac88.. where exactly do you live??
Suntrust and Wachovia
Mca, I live in West Palm Beach, Florida. The reason Wachovia might have opened the account is I was a customer 10 years ago when they were First Union and my information was still in their system and it showed I didn't owe any money to them.
