How do you know if you have been reported to them?

That is not totally true . . . . Technically a bank can report you for 1 bounced check. The bank can report you for just about anything they feel like. With Chex, you are guilty until proven innocent.

There have been many cases of people being reported to Chex for one or two bounced checks that they paid immediatly. In some cases they even still had the same account, but when they went to open a new one found out their current bank had reported them.

I tried for the second time on January 12, 2009 to open and establish bank accounts with Central Pacific Bank in Honolulu, Hawaii, and yet again I was deniied due to a US Bank in their Sonoma, California Branch reflecting a derrogatory record on my name (it didn't specify exactly-but just to tag my name denying any attempts of establishing a bank account). I was denied for the same reason last year when I applied with Pacific Rim Bank here in Honolulu, HI sometime in June 2008. I called US Bank -Sonoma, CA Branch at that time, and they do not remember anything of placing me on CHEXSYSTEMS. Then I tried to talk with their Collections & Fraud Dept., to see if they placed me on to your systems, no records found...... On that note, please remove my record from your systems as you have no grounds to do so!!!! Why don't you contact US Bank-the supposedly purporting bank that placed me on your systems and verify what the story is??? You will find out, they don't have any records at all!!! PLEASE CALL ME AT mobile or my email address is:@yahoo.com I WOULD TRULY APPRECIATE YOUR URGENT ATTENTION IN THIS REGARD!

Personal information was removed!

i have a question, i had a rocky relationship with TD bank for awhile - payday loans, bounced checks. i finally got rid of them and moved to the credit union. my bank manager did not like me.. we argued over several things and i have reported them to the BBB.
i closed my account on my own and my new bank does a chex systems check so i am assuming i am okay but i ordered a report just in case.
does anyone see any reason for me to worry?

thanks! i closed it out on my own and it was in active status. they even offered to open a new account for me (they said if it were for fraud i can get a new account number) but i kindly told them no.
i wanted to get outta there! ;)
like i said my new bank did a chex system run on me, i am just paranoid i guess?

I recently recieved a copy of my own chexsystems report by
logging in to their site online.I was surprised to find that a pay day loan company has reported me to chexsystems. The company is NetcashUSA to be specific.Iwas not aware that a
company that issues short term loans could report someone to
chexsystems also I do not recall having conducted business with
them.I am in the process of disputing this report because I was
denied opening a checking account with my credit union.has anyone else delt with this before and can a payday loan company report someone to chexsystems for defaulting on a loan.Again I do not recall taking out a loan with NetcashUSA
so the DV Letters are in the mail as we speak.I just want people
aware of this practice and any advice would be appreciated.
