What is the best bank to open an account in?

If you only go for banking, they are not bad, but if you also go for credit cards with these banks and default on your payments, they may prove bad for you.

i found that i like small local banks and credit unions the best, they seem to want to help you and work with you more..

Yeah, I can understand that. Big banks stink, lol.

i know but they have better times and locations :(
i used to bank with a local company that had a supermarket branch and it worked out because i got the hometown service plus longer hours at the food store..
but than pnc bought them out.. :evil: i hate pnc..

Oh really? I thought about trying their recent offer of $75 when you open an account with a deposit, but they don't have many branches. I'm okay with going with a credit union that doesn't have a lot of branches if I would be more likely to get decent customer service or people that understand I'm not made of money to pay their ridiculous fees!
