I am trying to find out information about how to stop FIA Card Services aka Bank of America from taking money from my checking account. I don't have a checking account with B of A but I am worried FIA may try to steal money from my account because of a couple of cards I had to go bad on. I paid these two cards in the past from this account with a personal check. From what I have read they like to use fraudulent checks or electronic debits to upset balances in customers accounts. Especially those who have gone bad on their credit cards with B of A. Should I bank with a credit union? Should I close this account and open a new one?

yeah BSofA is known for that.a credit union is safer than a normal bank in that regard.for your piece of mind i would do it.close that account and find a credit union in your area.
