okay,first go in to the branch and speak with
the manager.get a hard debit block on your account.then,work out an arrangment to get that account even then close it.as far as your other question goes.it varies,when i got into NSF trouble with national city,they let it go until it was 450.00 in the red then closed it.other banks have a cretain policy in regards to that.

After 30 days in the red most banks will close the account.

THANKS Goudah, that means this Friday the nightmare will end, I hope...Now I just have to figure out how to pay them back, T & C says I can just include them. Do you know if banks just "collect" like any other bill for overdrafts?

Yes, most do - They will send you a bill and if you don't pay, send you to collections. Depending on the amount owed, they may also look at suing you . . . . .

would they sue if I had a payment plan worked out?

I'd think no, but you never can say for sure. But I'd say your odds are very good if you are making payments that they will not take further action against you.
