Question about Chex & SCAN

I know CHEX reports info for 5 years..
On info provided by SCAN.. does that fall off 5 years after it was reported or 5 years after it was paid? Also, does an unpaid check fall off after 5 years from date of report or remain on a Chex report until paid?
