also, is chexsystems 5 years for removal? my one item should be dropping off in august if that's the case, though would that still be if i was still paying it off?

Yes, every item recorded in the ChexSystem stays there for five years. Even if you pay off the debt it will stay there for 5 years (i.e, till August in your case) but will be updated in your report as "paid in full" or "settled in full".

Many times paying on the debt owed to the reporting bank(s) will update the account being reported and it will take 5 years from the date of the last payment made.
