I applied on-line for a savings account and was turned down due to chexsystems. . . wth???? Anyways, I requested and received my chexsystems report and under "REPORTED INFORMATION" it states "no information found" however under "INQUIRIES INITIATED BY CONSUMER ACTION" there are several entries like DP Bureau, Pcn, etc. . . but these are for credit inquiries, right? So why would I be declined. . . Nothing else shows up that I can find. Anyone know whats going on?

Many times too many inquiries can flag your account and will cause some banks and credit unions to turn you down. This is the problem that many people have when they apply for a bank and are turned down finding out that they are reported to chexsystems. many times, they will apply at numerous banks which will in turn cause them to be denied at a bank or credit union that may have approved them otherwise.

Basically your report is showing that you have applied at too many banks or credit unions and that in itself is making them suspicious of you. How many inquiries in total do you show? I would give the credit union a call and try to talk to someone there and explain that you do NOT have a negative report with chexsystems and ask them if there is anything more that they can do to help you.
