Does anybody know if Compass Bank is affiliated with any of the big credit card banks. I want to open an account and do not want to give the creditors access.

If you go through the privacy policy of Compass Bank "http://www.bbvacompass.com/compass/policy/disclosure.cfm" you will find that they may share your information with financial institutions with whom they have joint marketing agreements. However, they have also mentioned that they do not sell consumer information. But I did not find them affiliated to any of the big Banks or Credit Card Companies.

i dont believe they are. i've banked there for the last 4 years

i dont believe they are. i've banked there for the last 4 years and never had any issues until recently, but it wasnt really the company it was the bank worker not knowing how to do her job that got us in a bind. 1 bad thing out of 4 years isnt that bad considering some of the stuff your read about.
