I've tried going through our Credit union association, through our states WI Financial Instintution. And I get the same response, I have to try and get damages through the pdl.

Will going throug OCC work for Credit Unions?

they will only cover national banks. If the Credit union is a State Chartered you go to your state gov. If it is a Federally Chartered you go to ncua.gov

Thanks billyg35, I did that, and they just forwarded it to WI Financial... i'm getting a huge run around. I did file with FDIC (doubt they'll do anything) I also just sent off a letter the the CEO.. worth a shot.

It really was their problem to begin with (once I realized I was in over my head) I went through the proper channels, but no one cared. I wasn't allowed to close my account and put a hard freeze on it.

Yes, I did.. as I said I have to get the damages through the pdl's. (yeah right ah huh sureeeeeeee i will) Well last night I also filed with Federal Reserve. After these last rounds I just don't know what my options will be. I disputed with chexsystems (yesterday), wrote the CEO the day before, filed with FDIC and OCC (just on the off chance that ONE will come through) The payday loans is one of the underlying issues, but the main issue is that the bank refused to close my account, therefore racking up the NSF charges.
