DFCU Financial

Just wanted to let you guys know that I was on DFCU Financials website and they now have deluxe checks as there new check provider. I was thinking about an account with them but now am skeptical. I am afraid to order checks at all.


Many non-chexsystems banks and credit unions use Deluxe checks. DFCU however is a chexsystems credit union. They have always used chexsystems. They will however approve anyone for a savings if they are eligible for membership. The savings comes with an ATM card as well.

If you apply for a checking with them, a chexsystems report will more than likly cause you to be denied. Some people have been able to open a checking once they have had a savings there for a considerable amount of time. Others were still denied.

You do mean Digital Federal Credit Union correct?

Oh no that is a different one. I am not sure what they use, yes I would guess they use chexsystems but let me check it out and get back to you on that one.

This might be good one if I am guessing correctly on where you live exactly.

It is the credit union's policy for you to actually be in a branch to open an account. We run all members through telecheck if they want a checking account, so that is one of the reasons why we don't have the membership application for the checking online.
I am not sure where you are located. Would you be able to actually come to a branch in the near future?

Membership
Anyone can join Co-op Services Credit Union. The first step is to print our membership application and bring it to any of our five branch offices.

A simple $2 one-time membership fee to our sponsor, Cooperative Services, Inc., and $5.00 deposited into a regular share account will establish your membership in the credit union and open the door to our wide range of financial services.

You will be required to visit one of our five offices in person to complete the membership application process.
