Chexsystems- Don't know what to do

Here is my problem. My father had an account with us bank. I was added to it because he was not able to manage his money properly. Now he is deceased and the account is on chexsystems as "abuse" or "fraud" and I don't know what to do? Am I screwed? It has a balance of -1300!

there were a lot of issues that would take forever to type. But

If you were added to the account as a legal signer of his debts, then yes it would. If you feel the bank handled things incorrectly you can dispute it with Chex systems & file complaints with OCC. The Chex systems report should have something in there that you can dispute information. The OCC's link is up at the top I think..
