Oh and yes.. we might as well scratch Liberty off the list, they aren't owned by Deluxe, they're just an exclusive eFunds partner.

This is an old article, however, I was at my local credit union this morning to open an account, and I knew I'd be denied on Chex, I just wanted an updated report haha however, I learned a few things.
First off, when you have your account rep paged (with a little research you know it's a Saturday AM, I called earlier in the week and found out who'd be working), you earn yourself at least 5 minutes because your best friend is out in the parking lot asking a lot of stupid questions on the phone, that gave me a chance to look at the eFunds printout.
eFunds is in this partnership through Liberty as in the check company, to offer up, ChexSystems to credit unions by direct web access versus calling.
Well all of that is in the article, however, on my printout through them, it showed wherever I had ordered Liberty checks AND!!!!!!!!!! the big AND!!! the open credit union accounts I had in good standing.
THAT IS JUST NOT COOL--
Now the Justice Federal Credit Union, uses Liberty for checks but also their website like many others, is a Liberty company template, thats how they seemlessly incorporate their check reordering right on the website, a lot of credit unions have identical websites, including the apply online (a submit form really) and the print out application option.
Tricky Tricky SOB's.. I mean really people, I feel like we're no longer safe anywhere, I'm going to try out JFCU and see what happens, however I won't be ordering the checks through them.
I thought I'd pass this on.
hmmmmph.
