provisional credit??

what does that mean? back in december i did a stop payment on cashbox. and only now the pdl company got the dispute letter. and april 14th i got a letter from the mail saying they honor my claim and a PROVISIONAL CREDIT OF ___(AMOUNT) __ are final. what do they actually mean by that/??
probably means that they are issuing the provisional credit to y
probably means that they are issuing the provisional credit to you while they do their research on your dispute. If they find your claim in warranted, the provisional credit will become permanent, if not, they will deduct it.
