opened account in the morning and later afternoon, the lady from customer service called me to immidiately return my starter checks I was given at the opening because my account was just closed due to chexsystem.

no but my husband did last year and he was not satisfied. I have two great accounts with Baxter CU (Lake County and they check only TransUnion) and Consumers Cooperative Credit Union - lake county as well, but you have to go to branch to open this one to avoid being checked through Chex. Also, in Bloomington there is a IAA Credit Union - they run credit report and chex however I was accepted with double Chex entry and had regular checking with visa debit card. I'm not sure about eligibity to join but I'm employeed by Country Companies which are owned by IAA(Illionois Agriculture Assoc.) :o

my chex entry doesn't show paid and it has fraudulent activity mark as well. Somebody opened two accounts in my name and "played" between them causing over 18k overdraft. Both overdrawn accounts with fraud are reported. It has been gone from my credit report however had no luck to get them off my chex.

If you have a police report and some proof that you were a victim of identity theft then I would file a dispute with chexsystems and see how they respond. They must remove you the same as the CRA's did ( no different )

If they don't remove you, then I would file a complaint with the FTC

Filing a Formal Complaint with FTC

Should the credit reporting agencies continue to ignore you, follow up with a written notice that you intend to file a formal complaint with the Federal Trade Commission (FTC).

Be prepared to contact the FTC to file your formal complaint. If you still do not receive a response within 15 days, file a formal complaint.

There are three ways you can file a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission's Consumer Response Center:
Phone: toll-free 1-877-FTC-HELP (382-4357)
Or
Regular mail:
Use this Sample FTC Complaint Letter
Mail to:Federal Trade CommissionCRC-240 Washington, D.C. 20580
Or
Electronically:
Using their Online Complaint Form
